Am a huge Civ fan, for those who have played it and I'm just starting it's buggy I think, either that or I'm missing something with starting a religion as I can't. Do you like it? 30 bucks is worth it so far but the bug is bothering me. Anyone experience this?

No religion bug here. You need a great prophet to start a religion.
I have been playing the as the Mayans. Rush to Theology to get the long count bonus.

It NEVER ILLUMINATES and I'm pissed as hell, from previous posts with you, you know I love Civ. I can figure something that simple out. God this pisses me off and their is no answer from customer support but admin, but it runs smoother but no religion still. Fuck it, I'll go on to Skyrim and toss the 30 bucks.

I actually just bought Civ 5 recently for $15. i used to play Civ 2 way back when i was a young'n. Civ 5 seems fun, however i don't like how slow the game is to start out. everything takes 10 turns, and theres not much to do really. i guess i'm still learning the game and don't really know how to play properly yet. i have to play it more and get more familiar with the game before i can pass judgement on it.
but just initially i am not impressed by it. i general prefer more intense and enthralling games. games that require fast reactions and your full attention.

I like strategy games but first person shooters are a lot of fun as well. Thinking of buying Max Payne 3.

Wow how did I get here? I clicked a few links with my fat fingers and ended up at this 2 year old thread. Was that an Easter egg? Am I on drugs? Or just handicapped? You decide.

G&K was a big disappointment honestly sorry to hear you paid 30 for it.
I got it on sale, and it kinda sucked. Brave new world is way better. I recommend getting that when it goes on sale (it always does).
I don’t really understand religion honestly. You can make money from it but its not really important at all. I don’t see how it gives you any advantages honestly. Maybe if you are a small country with no military you can get all the def + boosts.
but ya dude brave new world is the tits. It adds all kinds of new Civs. I love Portugal, and with that new expansion i don’t know why but i always play naval powers. I never used to use a navy or commerce/exploration at all now im like no land military and just dominate the fuck out of the sea.
Its bad ass you can select an ideology and chose to be nazis commies or americans and they add a world congress which really fucks shit up late game if you piss everyone off.

Nice I'll have to check it out. I spent so many hours growing up playing masters, civ 3, and fallout 2.
