It really made my hunt, was so excited when I saw it. I normally only ever find all white Amanita, I don't even find A. muscaria very often.

It's in a spot I will be able to find over and over again too. :biggrin:

Hey guys!

My Amanita finds for this year:

Destroying Angel / A. bisporigera

False Death Cap / Amanita citrina
Couldn't get the cap color to show up well. It's actually a soft green.

Raspberry Limbed Lepidella / Amanita mutabilis
I've read these are uncommon, but there's a nice little patch in my sister's yard :smile:

Here are some not from 2012 (most from last autumn), but Amanitas all the same. I hope you don't mind if I share them too! -

Blushers / Amanita rubescens

Loaded Lepidella / Amanita onusta

Amanita gemmata group (possibly Amanita praecox Lamoureaux)

Fly Agaric / Amanita muscaria var. persicina

Amanita sect. lepidella

Yellow Patches / Amanita flavoconia

These two look really similar, but they are pretty different:

1. Amanita sect. Lepidella

and

2. Amanita sect. Lepidella

Thanks! They really looked so similar to me but then I realized the veil was different, one is all cottony and powdery and the other one is a fancy ruffled skirt.

yeah,I would have thought they were both the same for sure,because I still have a lot to learn about mushrooms,and their differences:-)
