so these guys popped up under a lemon tree in my backyard and i think they might be p. subbs? i printed them and it was solid black

These are some that i picked and dried the other day I've yet to see any blue bruising

perhaps the psathyrella hydrophylia? though the stipe seems darker on mine and i dont see and images of hydros with the same zonation as my caps

I think you have subbs.Is the stem kinda brittle or fragile? If you can shake it by the stem without breaking it,you may have Pan subbs.

The ones growing in the cluster are Panaeolus, the ones growing off to the side might be different, I can't tell.

well when i shake them the stems don't break. If they are subbs how many dry would be good to start with?
I've heard that because of how common subbs are, the ones that aren't growing on shit usually aren't psychoactive as well, is that true?

If they are one of the active species like Panaeolus cinctulus, which they certainly could be you will need a lot more then what you have. I would think something around 4 grams dried is a good starting place. Getting Panaeolus to species is hard and requires microscopy to be certain a lot of the time, but lucky for you none of them are poisonous.

sweet! so, would anyone recommend a good way of keeping these flushes coming? i obviously dont have anything close to 4 grams and i would like to try to get 8, but im not sure if the spores will keep spawning. will the mycelium live for long enough?
