Mushroom growing on the bathroom ceiling

Before I noticed the leak coming from the second floor bathroom I saw this Coprinoid mushroom growing from the ceiling. Add drywall to the list of preferred substrates.
Any one else have any mushrooms growing in odd places? Feel free to share!

I used to work in a fast food place, and we had several different kinds growing out of the grout between the tiles of the floor under the CO2 and fountain soda multiplex. Very weird.

Yeah, you must hate to want to get it fixed b/c that little guy is making your ceiling his home.
I wonder if you can transplant? He's the epitome of fungal darwinism!

Those pictures are from a few days ago, now I just have a black spore print on the ceiling..I'm sure this won't be the last mushroom I see growing in my bathroom.
Yeah, it's times like these that I'm glad I rent.

Not Coprinus, there are only 4 species in that genus and 3 of them are very rare. It is Coprinellus or Coprinopsis.

I joke with my gf about there being so many spores in the house that one day she would wake up to find a mushroom in the bathtub. That was a joke....now I know it could really happen...sheesh!
