I mean for fucks sake the New world was what EVERYONE wanted to go to back in the day. I look at pictures of europe and I really couldnt give a fuck. I have zero interest to see paris, England, Spain, or any of those other shitty ass developed places.
Maybe someplace trippy like the Amazon, Thailand, Africa, etc. But the UK? Walmart and McDonalds people just packaged differently

That long part in the southwest of the UK with all the crazy rain, stones, moss, etc...I think thatd be cool...as well as the less inhabited islands of northern scotland.

I love the UK. Besides the czech republic its the only place I could live. You shouldn't worry about where people chose to travel. The important thing is the cultural diversity that comes from that experience.

I wouldn't mind visiting Spain or France. Out of any European country, the UK would probably be at the end of the list, but I'd still love to go. I'm just that kind of person who likes to see new things and immersing into new cultures. Visiting foreign countries isn't always about seeing sights, or eating food. HAHA That is such a typical American touristy thing to say. That's why foreigners hate us; because we just go to the tourist locations and never get to experience the country as it really is (in the eyes of the locals). I prefer immersion, not excursion.

Immersion takes a lot of time in a foreign country. Budget doesn't always allow that. I've found a balance between immersion and excursion.

Backpacking and couchsurfing are key to immersion, IMO. And those two can be very low budget. I'm not really trying to stay in a culture for a long period of time either; I just want to do what the locals do and immerse myself into their lifestyles.
