I think you misunderstood what I was saying...of course "dubstep" isn't just going to vanish and be on it's way out. But in general, it seams like the hype around it, the trendiness of it, the "OMG have you heard of DUBSTEP!!!?!" hype is finally starting to die down....at least from my perspective, around here.
With that said, bass music in general is bigger than ever and more diverse than ever....soooo many different sounds & styles out there right now, I just hate to lump them all under the term "dubstep".
The genre will continue to progress, evolve, and split off into other things....

I completely agree it's on the descent which I find to be great. People always used to come up to be me and be like OMG HAVE YOU HEARD OF SKRILLEX??????? God that shit got annoying. I think it's interesting that there are mainly black dudes in that photo. I almost never see black dudes at any edm events.

It's not that great and their light rig is almost nonexistant--like 2 lights MAYBE and it's no where close to dark and booze is pricey and parking sucks as you basically have to pay a lot of money to park. Bluebird sound has always sounded pretty good to me. I was just there for lazer sword last week and it sounded bomb. When's the last time you were there? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Cervantes. I do wish that the dude who ran sound for that psytrance party a few months back would run sound in town as well. That shit was killer.

wat? i went out to the bluebird like a month ago and it was unlistenable. I left after half an hour or so.
you think the sound guy was just a piece of shit the night i was there? i noticed he was watching youtube videos and all the limiters were hitting like crazy hard.
edit: the one night i went there it wasn't even comparable to cervantes. it was like 4/10 where cervantes is like a 7/10

Who knows dude. Conspirator and Lazer sword had sick sound in particular. Although conspirator has their own sound guy so who knows. I was also rolling pretty hard for both conspirator and lazer sword. That might have played a role although zoogma was decent and I was only maybe a few drinks deep.

I bet he's just gonna get up there and push play. I really enjoy his cds but I'm a little tired of that. There is SOOOOOOO much talent coming through here, I would not lose sleep over missing him. I would definitely see him if I lived in jax, the barren landscape of music.
