Best portable vaporizer?

So I've been doing heaps of research on portable vaporizers, and I'm having a tough time figuring out which one to get. It seems like for every vaporizer, there are a handful of people who say it's a piece of shit . Was wondering if anybody here had anything to share about their experiences with portable vaporizers.
I'm currently thinking Magic Flight Launch box, but I've heard the batteries are terrible. I've also heard you can just buy your own batteries, granted they're rechargeable NiMH AA batteries. I figure I could find some more expensive ones with higher mAH that'll last longer.
The other ones I was looking at were the GVG and the Iolite WISPR. I decided I didn't really like the idea of burning through tons of lighters with a Vaporgenie, and there were a decent amount of reviews that said the WISPR is loud and tastes bad.
Anybody have substantial experience with these, or any other portable vaporizers? I found a smoke shop in my area that sells the WISPR for $200, and the MFLB for $100. I'm leaning a lot more towards getting the MFLB with a power adapter and some longer lasting batteries.
Advice?

Iolite rocks! Especially the newer ones that fixed a few complaints. It needs really clean butane but goes through it really slowly.

The WISPR, or the classic one? I've heard they're both pretty loud, and taste kinda funky. What do you think?

This is a good option, because I already use a torch lighter to smoke weed.
I've heard it's a little hard to heat evenly, especially with a torch, and avoid burning it. Is that true?

Just the stock ones? One of my buddies said he wouldn't recommend I get one because you get a few good hits and then the batteries start sucking fast. Or do you use separate ones? I like the idea of the MFLB, but I just hear there are some serious drawbacks with the batteries.
The GVG sounds like what I wanna do now, but I'm pretty indecisive I feel like it would be enjoyable to use just because it's so similar to smoking from a regular pipe. But then again, the non-lighter ones just sound more convenient.

I have the classic, if it's quite the hiss from it heating can be a bit loud, but it stops once it gets to the right temp. I really like the taste, not quite as good as a normal big vaporizer, but it fits in your pocket.

I've never used a torch lol... just throwing out an alternative to burning up bic lighters.

I got a Magic Flight Launch Box recently, works great. Haven't had it long enough to have battery issues, but they are standard batteries. When they wear out, replacement is straightforward.

I want to design a new portable vaporizer that becomes the new standard. I've been thinking/drawing/planning for a year now trying to come up with the best heating element, and I don't want to use butane for fuel either...
Need to build some of my prototypes and test them out soon.
As far as whats on the market, I've tried both the iolite and MFLB and yea the ML does taste somewhat better, but the screen in it can't be removed and is very delicate... So all that dmt infused weed you have will build up on the screen and how do you clean that?
Iolite is so damn expensive I feel, when you get that thing in your hand and use it, you sit and wonder why on earth this product is worth the $200 they're asking for it?
So it's a hard choice to make, and usually is based on user preference... Go to a shop and see them in person if you can first.. and there's also a reason why I don't have one so far... I don't find any of them elite products or good enough to fit my standards to buy it.

I've heard great things about Arizer Solo and the Plenty vaporizer from the makers of the volcano. Vaporgenie is the shit when used with a torch lighter.

Vaporgenie is not bad if you don't mind using a lot of lighters

VG works great for me. tbh i never really burn through lighters that quick on it... then again i haven't been vaping a lot of weed lately. but if you're just looking for something portable im guessing youre not going to be using it as your main piece anyways. and it doubles as a fantastic piece for smoking deems. i also didn't think it's that hard to vape the weed evenly. idk it aways gets me high as fuck. but sploof is still recommended if you're trying to be sneaky with it. it's not full proof, i got caught using it by my parents back in high school
only thing i don't like is i feel it can't be good to inhale all that butane, but the website says it should burn cleanly. idk

I love my MFLB! I dont't need a portable anymore so it doesn't get much use but when I did it was my best friend. I just ordered 2 more stock batteries when I got mine and they still work 2 years later. I also had the PA for a while which was super nice for dialing where you want your hits. There are a ton of cool packages and options on sites for pretty cheap and you can buy used ones since they have a lifetime warranty (not sure if you're allowed to post links to where to get one but if so send me a pm).
My friend also has a Solo which he loves but I don't. I have no idea what's in the airpath but I have a feeling it goes through the electronics and is not clean. Plus I feel like I have MUCH less control with it and always get way more high than I want, uncomfortably so.

i have two MFLB's and once you learn to hit it properly you can get those big hits you desire.
also, it's very important to make sure the weed is ground to coffee-grinder consistency.
Don't have a nice grinder? just pour the weed out of the trench after a few hits, it should be dry now so crumble it into a fine consistency and place back in the grinder, huge difference.

Any1 know how to modify a e-cig for synth noids?

I bought a No2 portable vaporizer back in Oct 10. I loved it so much and used it every day. My brother is off on a road trip to cali so I let him take it with him for the drive :P Got me fantastically fucked up If you end up buying this buy it at amazon way cheaper there! There is a Gizmodo review where the showed with an ir thermometer that the temps are quite accurate within the entire scale of the device.

The MFLB is ok,it does suck the batteries down and you have to worry about them corroding and such it is nifty tho.

MFLB is fine. Just be prudent about charging your batteries in order to always have one to replace the dead one.
One fully charged battery will get you through at least three long sessions with a small group, or over a week alone.

The plenty is THE SHIT! Best vape I've ever used even better than the volcano imo. But its not really portable since you have to plug it in.
