Even the best identifiers need help sometimes. Or at least a fresh set of eyes.

Do you have any microscopy bloodworm? Or a spore print colour?

Bit of a longshot but have you compared to some of the Laccaria with lighter gills like L. laccata?

They seem a bit yellow, but I can see pinkish hues in there.

Reminds me of Tricholomopsis.

EDIT: looks like a white spore deposit on the stipe, so I think my ID is on track.

What were they growing out of? It looks like soil rich in lignicolous matter.

Well if so, I guess it is Entoloma, probably close to E. salmoneum.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, I meant to paste this into my first post.

hmmm, weird color on the base of the stems. Did it bruise from white to that green color, or was it just that color to start with?

Entoloma salmoneum does seem pretty close. I'm waiting to see some square spores:popcorn:

I can't wait to see the microscopy on this, I don't think it's an Entoloma though, stipe doesn't look right to me.

This mushroom confused the crap out of me on your last update. Glad you couldn't figure it out either

The gills look Entoloma-ish, but the cap looks Tubaria-ish.

I was thinking of a Rhodocybe near R. nitellina when asking about the pinkish print

That looks rather close. I am liking this ID.

I think Rhodocybe nitellina has been renamed to Clitopilus nitellinus. The best suggestion yet, and impressive without a spore print or microscopy.

I don't think that microscopy is conclusive. Far from conclusive for me at least. The cystidia you have are probably not- they look like basidioles. Pic 2 shows what might be warts on the spores also. Can you post more please?
