I understand the point you are trying to make but it was the middle of WW2 and the only other option was send waves of Americans onto the beaches of Japan. The end justifies the means.
Of course you have to look away from the years of policy that forced the Japs to attack us in the first place; but that is another thread.

Why is it whenever I see "end justifies the means" I want to punch whoever said it? I fucking hate that statement. It's always been the excuse of the violently evil.
