Tattoos and health
    #16375170 - 06/13/12 09:36 AM (1 year, 6 days ago)

I've been fascinated with tattoos since i was a little kid (especially japanese and realistic style) and over the last 15 years i've covered about half my body in them, some real masterpieces too if i say so myself . Never did i think it might be unhealty until i read this article http://www.naturalnews.com/022073.html and it freaked me out a little reading some ink contains mercury, antifreeze, heavy metals, methanol and other crap you dont want in your body.
Over the years i've been tattooed by so many different artists it's impossible to find out what brand of ink they used.
Especialy colours seem to have bad chemicals and i have a lot of them too. I've also had some laser removal done on some old ones in the past and appearantly the removed ink goes straight into the bloodstream and liver.
If i do have these nasty chemicals in my tattoos there's nothing i can do about it now anyway but since tattoos are so popular nowadays i thought i would share it. And i was wondering if there are other tattooed people here who are concerned about this.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's very trace amounts. You get just as much mercury eating a tuna sandwhich. You are freaking yourself out.
