it's because of how fast it hits you and how far out it sends you. sure you could probably get further out htere on mushrooms/acid/mescaline, but think how long it would take? also, if you want to compare oral drugs with oral administraiton of DMT, try out ayahuasca and comapre. ayahuasca is well known to be the ultimate doin'

If you don't take a maoi you're not doing it right. Take a full dose of harmala orally, wait about 45 minutes to an hour, then smoke a bowl of dmt. That shit will rock your dome.

i dont want to take maoi if i dont have to i rather just wait and do ayahuasca i know that will be intense
and here in miami if you dont know the rigth people dmt will go for anywhere from 15 to 25 bucks for 50mg

You take maois when you do ayahuasca. They're called harmala alkaloids which come from caapi vine or syrian rue. That's what makes it work. I'm just suggesting you smoke the dmt rather than ingest it orally with the maoi. Because it will basically have the same effect just shorter and more intense.

never thought about smoking it but i already knew about the maoi in the ayahuasca. i rater just take the ayahuasca i feel like i will get more out of it and it lasts longer and has the purge. i have read about rick strassman giving his test subjects 400mg intraveniously now that sounds intense
either way i rather drink more ayahuasca so its more intense and its different trip. mushrooms are almost identical to dmt for me

Well, the whole point of his argument was that mushrooms are more "powerful" because they are cheaper, when they aren't necessarily. Sorry for using logic, I know it's lame. Anyway I think we are past it. I think we already established that the notion was wrong and effectively said "who fucking cares" by not talking about it anymore.

I've noticed this too and it's because chemically they are nearly identical (psilocin and dmt). Psilocin is just dmt with a hydroxy in the 4 position.

IMO they all work because they "are" DMT at some stage of metabolism. The question is of how they are metabolized, how rapidly they are metabolized, how and efficiently they are metabolized.
This is what really makes DMT interesting... it would appear to be the master psychedelic. If you're trying to get high, there are better options; if you want to work with the psychedelic experience on a personal basis, DMT is irreplaceable.
