I got Pitted Keratolysis at boot camp

One day on week 8 of basic training I took my boot off at the end of the day and I looked at the bottom of my foot. There was a bunch of tiny little craters all over my foot. It looked as though the skin had been eaten away.

I am almost sure this is what I have. Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

It seems to be getting better some days but then I get sweaty and it comes back. Its tough to get rid of it now because I am at corpsman school in texas and its always so fucking hot.

So far I have been changing my socks frequently, using alcohol swabs on it, using foot powder to keep my feet dry, and airing it out as much as I can including when I go to bed.

It doesnt seem to be spreading and so I think I am in the clear. I am going to give it a couple weeks to see what happens before I go to the doctor.
