Fungal adventures of 2012 :) ...but wait there's more.... * 2
    #16355007 - 06/09/12 05:17 AM (1 year, 8 days ago)

Edit: Sticking all my forthcoming hunts here too. :mushroom2:

This weekend has become my favorite time of the year over the last couple of years. It's like mushroom Xmas, I get three days off from the world right in the middle of mushroom season!  :dancer:

Day 1 - Not a huge hunt because I slept in.  :nonono:

Cortinarius rotundisporus.  I thought I composed the ass off of this photo 'till I saw that bastarding piece of dead grass. :oldman:

Cortinarius sp. (Still working on a more solid ID on this)

Unkown. Probably Gymnopilus.

Unkown.

Wonky Inocybe sp.

Austropaxillus infundibuliformis

Amanita farinacea.

Eyeballs!  Err...I mean some sad lookin' Lycoperdon.

That's it for today, more to come over the weekend.

Happy hunting all.  :mushroom2:

Again not many photos, oh wells I'll have to make up for it tomorrow. :ohwell:

Leratiomyces ceres.

Hairy eyeballs!  errr....the same Lycoperdon as above, earlier in maturity.

Jelly Babies!  Leotia lubrica.

Chubby little Cortinarius archeri.

Lalalalacaria!

I still left my photography hat at home today it would appear.  Hopefully tomorrow proves a little better.

Happy hunting folks.  :mushroom2:

3rd hunt, I finally remembered my photography hat today.

M. Clelandii.

Russula sp. growing with nothing around bar a couple of dead bits of grass. This was my first time shooting a mushroom in full sunlight, it proved a challenge.

Lactarius eucalypti.

Amanita sp.

Mycena yuulongicola. owning an old burnt log.

Rickenella fibula.

Flammulina velutipes. Collybia eucalyptorum. With bonus teeny tiny caterpillar.

Xerula sp.

Lepiota sp. Agaricus sp.

Tiny Galerina growing with moss.

The sun gowing down on a succesful hunt.  :mushroom2:

Happy hunting folks.  :mushroom2:

Cheers!

Camera is a Canon EOS 1000D

I actually wasn't too happy with these I seemed to rush everything today, and couldn't get my head in the right place for taking good photos.

That Inocybe wonkycephalus is pretty cool looking. I need to find some appealing Inocybe around here... the few I have found are suuuuper boring.

Yeah it was a really unusual find and pleasant suprise, they really don't match any purple Cort that I can think of.

I think it might have been you know, it was the last thing I thought of when looking at the actual mushroom but looking at the photos I think it probably is.

Love archeri and rotundisporus. Have found them before but never got good shots of them. Cant wait for more pics. Do you not have any mbs free here on shroomery? Would be cool if they were thumbnailed, i operate on a strict internet budget :frown:

Some of these are really stunning! I think your F. velutipes is a Gym opus maybe, it doesn't look like the Flammulina velutipes we have here anyway.
