Prior to my spiritual awakening i was a hardcore sexist set in me beliefs. I can say i'm getting a little better despite consistent moments of :facepalm:

that would seem to reinforce my previously believed stereotypes. but do not many man also behave foolishly?

anyway....this;

Women

Beauty unmatched sometimes leaves us blind
to the fact that you too have brilliant minds,

That share the concerns which often plague men
Restricted by our egos we often pretend,

That we are somehow the superior sex
with not only intelligence, but muscles to flex

But where would we be without a loving wife
who cuts away, like a blade, our pains & our strife

How can we forsake these givers of life?

Over petty differences which really hold no ground
For it takes men & women to make the world go ‘round

Bitter exchanges, tell me, to what end?
Impossible to deny; how perfectly we mend.

So hear me my brothers, and free we’ll be swimmin’
If we learn to respect our best friends; our Women.

it's not a competition, they're just focused in different aspects of reality. men are more physical-oriented while women are more emotional-oriented, generally.

just two aspects of the same reality

it's not much more complicated than that

For whatever it's worth, I think you might want to consider losing the rhyme schemes...it isn't improving your poetry...This is the second poem i've read of yours in less than 24 hours that uses the word "strife" to complete a rhyme. It's pretty trite.

If you just didn't bother trying to rhyme, you might find that it frees you up to do much more creative and interesting stuff..

Just a little critique...no biggie...carry on.

I'd say it finally ceased two days ago.

As far as the writing, i feel more vocabulary is what i need and will not stop using the rhyme scheme. in many of my poems the lines DO NOT rhyme but 97% do and this is to capture the largest audience possible

i been writing since i was able to do so.

mostly rap when i was younger as well as constant non-fiction covering my growing up in highschool while constantly trippin on mushrooms n other thangs somehow maintaing the appearance of normality.

a sort of wanna be hunter S thompson i felt like he stole my style of writing by being born earlier and was pretty disheartened when i first read fear and loathing.

Then i grew to love the man who was obviously far smoother and light years ahead of myself.

My teenage pride kept me going though and eventually i found my own style finally realizing i like short pieces and poetry most of all.

I stray far from fiction for life is the strangest tale of all.

I have been hurt too many times to agree :snub:

Also every GF I've ever had was so emotionally unstable that it was 99% of the time ME comforting HER about shit nobody would ever worry about, not the other way around.
