So, i can post pics if you need... But the jars look great, the very top of the wbs i think is just a smidge dry, so the rest of the jar is colonized (side bottom middle) the top layer is just a little splotchy..
I anticipated them bein done this morning, but it seems they've slowed a bit...
Anybody foresee any problems coming from going ahead and G2g??
I'm using a very high spawn rate also for the G2G, like 4:1 instead of 10:1... Cuz i dont need that many jars...
Thanks for the help...

You're obviously at a higher risk for contamination based failure, but it can work.
I've done g2g and spawned with ~95-99% colonized jars when I had to and had them work fine.

Why not just wait? If you are doing a g2g and have sterile jars waiting for culture they can wait a few days more.

Sometimes it's not an option
If it was I'd assume he'd just wait a day instead of take the chance.

Think they'll be alright for a few days until the transfer?
I'm doing them in segments cuz my pc only holds 7qt jars, so if i get one that colonizes before tomorrow, i guess i could go ahead and G2G to those seven, so forth and so on until all my jars have colonized.

I have so many jars that I lose track of them sometimes. I just found a flat of grain jars I prepared about a month ago and they were all fine. Just transferred culture to them. But as Jadian said, it could work. If there is no reason not to wait I say wait. But I do know that excited feeling of getting shit done! I try to find something else to do if im itchin to move some cultures and they are not ready. Jadian, I get where you are coming from. That assumption is not unreasonable for sure. I assumed that BjJiggles was being impatient! lol! Only because his reason to ask was that he has prep'd grain jars ready to go.
I say wait. Distract yo self son!

I've done it, but it's not the best idea.
Give it a shake and wait a day or 2.

Wait for full colonization. Asking for advice on how to fail is not recommended. RR

I just planned on getting them done this weekend. I have a very rigorous college schedule thru the week so i really only have time on the weekends...
And i was actually asking for advice so that i wouldn't fail.... If i had done the G2G before full colonization without asking advice then I would have been asking to fail..
I've just heard of people still doing successful G2G's w stalled jars due to moisture issues, and succeeding, figured t was the same.. Thanks guys.
