Probably one of the lamest bands to ever be popular. Right up there with the BEE GEES and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Great lifestyle however.
-------------------- "People convince themselves of their own lies, becoming victims of their own inventions as they begin to direct their lives by standards of behavior, ideas, feelings, or instincts which do not correspond to their inner reality. What is truly serious in this matter is that the individual loses all points of reference regarding what comprises truth, and what comprises lies. He becomes used to considering as true only that which is convenient for his personal interests; everything that is in opposition to his self-esteem or in conflict with already established prejudices, he considers false."

band sense, music since, vocal sense, lyric sense. (except for "long strange trip")
Dead head religious worship sense.

I can't stand the Dead. Their music is so fucking boring. The only cool thing is all of the LSD associated with it.
-------------------- "I noticed that the feeling from mxe is better when you refrain from masturbating a day or two before, a few times when I masturbated before usage I got this WEIRD look in my eyes and it caused me to not be able to have eye contact with people, my eyes were more squinted and my face looked more puffy, but without masterbating that day or the day before I felt great, it actually felt somewhat like a different drug.
Anyone notice this?"

I have a theory of why the dead are so popular. They make any not good but aspiring musician think they play and sing pretty fucking good and could "make it" just like the dead did at any minute.

wow. i'm not here to convince anyone, they were the best for me and that's enough. but even if you don't like them you have to admit they were great musicians and songwriters.

No they were not. Especially the song lyrics. They sucked. And the vocals sucked.
In the rock music world they are somewhere near the bottom imo. I can't believe you posted this bullshit here.

It wasn't so much the solo vocals that grate but the horrid harmonizing. I think I would almost rather listen to Bob Dylan sing than that. Musically not so bad a little lazy laid back but pretty cool.

why? i can't stand listening to Iron Maiden (for example), still I think they're great musicians as well as songwriters.
Europe '72 is cool, but it's not a whole concert. just excerpts from the European Tour.
