 Organizing the photo gallery?

Hey just curious, it was mentioned before but nothing ever came of it. What do you think about organizing the user galleries so that they're searchable and more accessable/browseable. Adding keywords to images when you upload them, and allowing this to be searchable would help.
Say you want to know what a specific species of mushroom look like, or want to browse a user gallery, or a gallery based on events, keywords would make this much easier to do. Instead of having to search the forums through thousands of useless posts, a person could just type in "psilocybe aerulescens" or "agaricus augustus" or even something as simple as "Bolete".
In addition, it would be cool to be able to browse galleries based on how many images there are and such.
We've had the same low-end, user-unfriendly non-browseable image gallery since before I became a member, it would be nice to see some improvement!

It's true the gallery section is a bit disorderly. I don't use it much myself but I see how it could be a nice improvement to the board. I say do it!

I'm going back to the university this year, I'm down to take some web design classes as electives, though I don't really want to major in anything computer related :p
If I can offer help at that time, I'm definitely game to help with the gallery source.

Yeah I figured. I'm more into hardware, I want to build servers and stuff, maybe get into engineering... But the photo gallery needs fixins!

and when you open a gallery you should be able to see all the albums more clearly. maby with a sample image for each one!
