Both Myristica fragrans and the unripe fruits of Morus spp. are certainly active. There are many many reports on the former; you must have consumed too little for psychedelic effects.
Remember that only a couple of decades ago Salvia divinorum and Mitragyna speciosa would have been on this list.
Take it with a grain of salt.

I got a buzz from nutmeg when I tried it as a teenager, but not a pleasant one. I think I've read that it's rough on your liver as well.

Not THC, that is indigenous to Cannabis, DNJ is suspected as the active molecule but this is not confirmed.

Believe it or not I have had some excellent experience with nutmeg using fresh nuts and trusting my instinct on dosage. I have also tried to abuse it and been punished hard. Research MMDA via PIHKAL, Shulgin certainly has an interesting concept there thought I am sure Wiccan would digress .

I would venture to say some strains of Coleus Blumei contain some alkaloids based on reports I have read and personal bioassay. I personally tried it on multiple occasions from one plant with threshold effects, and another (where I ate a lot more I might add) with none at all. Would not surprise me at all if in the near future we discover exactly what might be present here.

Surprised nobody mentioned Catharanthus rosea.
Would not call it inactive, but weak enough for the effects to be negligible.
Perhaps a retitle of this thread "Plants that are said to produce psychedelic effect, but show little more than threshold".

This one is meant to be used to potentiate dreams, not really get high. Kind of in the way that American Indians ritually would use tobacco to have out of body experiences and potentiate lucid dreaming(it should be noted that they used tobacco with wildly higher nicotine content than what packaged cigarettes contain).

Good thread. Too bad you didn't start it a couple years ago, would've saved myself some bit of bother. Here is one that I'm not sure about either, due to limited material, none other than my nom du plume lagochilus inebriens.
http://
The seed I have seems to be more viable the 2nd year. The plants I've started this year are very strong. Last years plants have overwintered but never really grew more than a secondary set of leaves.
