My Ecuadorian shrooms are beginning to have a white fuzz on the base of them as well as up their necks pretty much. It doesnt look like spider web mold at all but I'm unsure what it is. It took 6+ week to finally colonize the jar and now its been in my SGFC for obo 4 days with little signs of gettin bigger and now I see this and am unsure.. Help!

Drill more holes in your SGFC.
Fuzzy stems is mycelium.
More fresh air.
Keep drilling holes until your humidity starts to drop.
More fanning would help too.

I have them in my closet on top of a shelf with a suffiecient amount of holes. Although I only open the lid 1-2 times a day and thats the only time I have the doors open as well. What should I do to change this? Also I finally got a analog hygrometer so I'll finally know what my humidity is really looking like. I appreciate the help RR!

Thanks beefy! Would it not be dangerous to drill these holes now seeing as the process is already in motion?

Drilling a few more holes with cakes already in the box should be no problem.
Just be gentle.
Plastic shavings won't hurt anything.
You could heat up a nail or some other piece of metal, melt holes.

I thought the humidity would rise the more air got in the chamber? I don't know if my meter is still adjusting because I just put it in there but its only say its about 68

Could my problems also might be the effect of my low humidity?

Your humidity meter might not be calibrated.
Wrap it in a damp towel for a few hours, it should be close to 99%
If your humidity was too low you probably wouldn't see myc climbing the stems.

I guess whenever I do the towel method I can just see how much its off by and begin to just measure from there. Would it be weird if the fuzz look like it was on the head of one or two. Also it looked like it was doing that a little bit at one side of the bottom of my cake

Not uncommon with the lack of FAE,Ive had it covering whole fruit bodies before,,as stated above, its not a humidity problem, its a lack of fresh air problem

Appreciate the help! What should I do to raise my humidity? And with more FAE will that rise or decline my humidity? They seem to be ok, kinda smallish.. Is that possibly due to lack in humidity.. Sorry just got a couple question that are suddenly confusing me

There's so much bad info above it made my head spin, but at least a couple got it right.
Your problem is not humidity, it is fresh air exchange. If your humidity was in the 60s, you would have no fruits, so you're yet another victim of made in china crap they call hygrometers. They don't work, as we've known for years.
Air entering your terrarium does not lower humidity. If you have a proper shotgun terrarium elevated on blocks, air enters the bottom, passes through the perlite, exchanging air and humidifying the terrarium at the same time.
The problem in closets is there is no natural circulation, thus terrariums don't work properly. Move the terrarium to a table in an open room. Don't run fans or such in the room either. The shotgun terrarium depends on the natural circulation present. Leave a window slightly open for best results. RR
