LASIK eye surgery..

Hello all...this is my first post here on the forums..not sure if this was the right section to post this question but here it is..last week I underwent LASIK eye surgery to improve my vision..the surgery went well and it was easily the best money I ever spent, my vision is now perfect..doctor informed me that it takes about three months for the eyes to completely heal..I really want to trip this week and I want to know if anyone thinks it can have a negative effect on the healing of my eyes..my biggest concern is the dilation of the pupils..if anyone has any advice of experience with this it would be greatly appreciated

Great to hear that the surgery went well I was definitely considering doing the LASIK eye surgery too in a few years. But back to the topic, I suggest you don't just so you can fully recover your eyes and not waste the money you just well spent on the surgery. It's better to stay safe than to be sorry later. Just

I got laser eye surgery too, maybe 8 years ago.
Best money I spent too.
I still have beyond 20/20 vision today thanks to the surgery.

Definitely a good investment....I'm just trying to get down to the science of this whole pupil dilation thing and how it would effect the healing of my eyes

Don't chance it. It's better to just let your eyes heal properly before anything. Good vision is better than a good high. I wish I qualified for LASIK but my eyes are so fucked up.

I don't know about tripping, but I smoked weed the evening I had my surgery and it didn't have any effect on the healing process.

I wouldn't chance it bro.
6 hours of tripping isn't worth fucking up hard earned money on perfect vision.
Of course there isn't any proof that it could fuck up your surgery/recovery process..
but c'mon.. is it worth the risk?

I appreciate the feedback everybody...still contemplating...leaning towards just waiting it out...might just ask the doctor, not too sure how to go about that though lol

I highly doubt pupil dilation is going to have any effect on the healing. You do realize that your eyes will naturally dilate in dark environments, such as being outside at night, right? If pupil dilation were a concern, it would have been mentioned to you by your doctor to avoid prolonged exposure to dimly-lit areas and things like that.

When it comes to a trip, eyes freak me out. I personally wouldn't because I'm paranoid about my eyes. But I don't think it would really effect the healing process.

if i were u i wouldn't go on any trips, first off the drive u could hit something and the airbag goes off and thats really bad for your eye's, then they also say your not supposed to be out in the sun much as the UV can affect the healing process, overall just a really bad idea, wait the 3 months then enjoy it.
P.S. are u using restasis?

You took my post out of context

My physician actually got me 15/20.
Don't see how pupil dilation would affect anything, as the process produces a physiological change in the eye. The lens has already been reshaped. A change in pupil dilation shouldn't do much.
And the exterior lens flap will never fully heal. A physician will be able to pick it right back up without cutting forever.

...most subjects find the experience valuable, some find it frightening, and many say that is it uniquely lovely.

That's the part I hate and probably why I'll wear glasses and contacts for the rest of my life.
