Because she is dumb and had nothing to do with them getting busted. She was just some young girl who got involved with the wrong people at the wrong time. Do you really think the DEA planted her at a strip joint in hopes that they would take her back to the silo to gather evidence? They didn't get busted because of her, they got busted because they were stupid about it.

you guys prob live in a huge urban metropolis, she can be picky...
when you're out in western kansas though, and there's no opportunities, nothing but the smell of cow shit and the sound of the clock ticking your life away so that you end up like every other female in your family (nowhere), and the fact that everyone is a creeper in the great plains, suddenly the creeper with the fortitude and wherewithall to synthesize really good bordedom killing drugs, and with enough cheddar to buy a fuckin' missle silo (ever hear of rappers braggin' about the missle silo they just bought? no why? cuz they can't afford it), then suddenly they seem not so bad to buddy up with when you're 18.
Plus sexual abuse has to be wayyyyyy more common in rural areas, so she probably expected a little abuse out of any relationship. Which is sad, but how it unfortunately is.

Its a typical problem in high level drug dealing /manufacturing. The players are expected to be able to throw down with the best of them and will fall for it nearly every time until someone catches everything turning into a shit storm. Its usually a step away from being a shit storm anyways. Egos will always prevail when women are inserted into the equation. Sad thing is when you gain such a position in life, you have to put up with some shit or you risk alienating a god part of the customer base or always looking over your shoulder waiting for it to come crumbling down. Temptation and jealousy brings down empires alone, cops come in and claim the aftermath. It was a snowball\avalanche effect largely..

Not necessarily. According to him the supply is hardly dependent on any single lab and the decline has to be attributed to other factors. Although he may have been the best he wasn't sourcing the volume that the DEA claimed that he was by a long shot.

There were more people making LSD around the time of Pickard. They just were not making nearly as much as he was.
Everyone kinda closed shop for a while after pickard was busted. All the LSD for a few years afterwords was reserve that had been made long ago and slowly released to keep the love alive.
Many people just quit making LSD because when the DEA got Pickard, he gave up his ET supply. Most people making LSD then were using the same supplier of ET. Many people shut down because they didn't have enough ET to spread the love of LSD anymore. Others shut down because Pickard was busted and we was known for being a narc when his first lab got busted in like 86'-87'.
Just a few years ago people have been coming out of hiding and starting to spread the love again though not nearly as much as before the big bust.

The DEA didn't plant her at a strip joint, no one ever suggested that.
She wasn't an informant until after she helped drug and kidnap someone.
