 Is possession of drugs a felony in all states?

Drug Prohibition is one thing, but making drug possession felonies is downright atrocious and pisses me off.
This means that the college student who tries Adderall a couple of times to help themselves cram for a big test is committing a felony and thus risking being permanently half-exiled from society.
This means that the young adult who is perhaps going through a very short phase of drug use in their life will forever be affected by it growing up and cast into the fringes of society because of a short-lived lifestyle they had in their reckless youth.
Meanwhile certain forms of theft and battery are only misdemeanors.
Fuck the law.

At the federal level, yes, at the state level, no. It varies by state.
In CA for example possession of marijuana is an infraction similar to a parking infraction that only results in a $100 ticket. That's way less than speeding.
Adderall however is serious business even in CA.

In some states, possession of small amounts of non-marijuana drugs is a misdemeanor. In most places it is a felony though.
