Styrofoam Incubator?

Is this acceptable? I have a styrofoam cooler I tried to use, I hooked up the reptile heater to it and a few hours later inside smelled awful. Could the heating of styrofoam release the hated carcinogens that are talked about? Will this make the mycelium toxic?

You do not need an incubator, that is old information and has since been refuted. Just put jars in a dark place at room temp.
