Pure quality is way too far. More like 4-5 seasons of pure quality, than a slowly degrading series of illogical and 'shocking' events. Not saying it wasn't a show I liked but the last two seasons were

I think seasons 6 and 7 declined in quality, definitely. But it was still one of the best shows around. And season 8 made up for them IMO

its better for a tv show to end with a good reputation then to keep going on forever getting dull .. i miss the sarah silverman show..............tosh.o will end soon aswell

after the tron girl left it declined badly however somewhere in there was some good parts with that hooker he found. Im hoping it goes out with a bang and not him just ending up in jail cuss that would be pretty stupid unless of course they do some fast forwarding and then go out with a bang
oh and i disagree i think good shows should go on forever, take Dr.Who for example

Haters who are only watching the show for the patients arent getting it. That's boring, because yes it's always the same. its also not the point of the show
You gotta follow the characters and story arcs, its very, very well done. Especially seasons 3 and 5

Ya except it's the same shit over and over. I watched the firs four seasons (about 90% at least). This show would be good if it was produced for three seasons. That's it. If I wanted to get into characters I'd watch A&E,HBO, or Showtime produced show which ACTUALLY have a deeper story line. House's story line is shallow and limited.

I don't hate the show, I watch it every once in a while. But you hit the nail on the head. Every episode is pretty much exactly the same, just with different secondary story arcs and drama.
Omg, a guy just collapsed. Must be lupus, not lupus, not heart defects, not this, start treating him for that... NO STOP THE TREATMENT, IT WILL KILL HIM. 5 minutes before the end of the episode, House has an epiphany and barges into the patients room and saves his life.
Rinse and repeat.

I've only seen a few episodes, but I actually like this medical show.
And every time I see a House Appreciation thread in the pub, I think it's going to be about House MD, but it ends up being about dubstep or somethin' lol.

hey, guess what guys!! you "people" (that is what you're called, right?) decide the events of ALL the TV and movie production for the past fifty years!1
and funny thing is, you "people" don't know the first thing in fuck-shit-dick-all about making a show or a movie unique and interesting.
i've been watching the Larry Sanders show recently...
that show is funny, unbiased and realistic...
like House WAS.
like South Park WAS.
every show eventually runs low, because they go make episodes based on what the public wants... after the pilot and first season, it's all a shit show and if it last three four years, it's probably done more about public opinion, THEN YOU EVER WILL IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE.
so fuck... i dunno about you "people" sometimes.
