hot knife eh?? shit works like a charm makes me wonder why i drilled holes in the first place. now i know.the scroomies look real crazy now more + bigger pins. the condensation is drying up it looks moist but def. more dry.i burned a hole in the corner also but i think im going to tape it up in a little while once the water stops dripping.
so is there a serious risk of contam after burning those holes? i noticed smoke and a horrible stench and was wondering if its ok. of course i opened up and fanned the tub.
when should i mist and fan?
these r the guys today. please excuse the shitty quality of my camera phone. ill be sure to take better pics.

Relax.
Mist when it's dry. Fan 2-3 times daily or just leave the polyfill out.
The most important part..... relax

When it comes to sterilization sometimes overboard is the way to go.
Not necessarily the case when it comes to fruiting. Many people overdo the hell out of it. Just make sure they get enough air and moisture, right now they clearly need more air. If you put more holes and it gets dry you'll have to mist more, best bet is find a balance.

The melting plastic does have some toxic fumes to it but the harm being done probably would of been to you.
I hope you've removed the polyfil from all of your holes already. I'd also consider adding even more holes to it or opening it 3-4 times a day and fanning it hard. Those things are suffocating and will give you much better results if they can breathe better.

Since so many people are saying more holes and no polyfil, I've got to follow thru with my advice earlier and say the latter approach is definitely my suggestion.
BIGGER holes, LOOSE polyfil.
You want that polyfil. In addition to cleaning the air that is cycling thru, making your tub last longer before contamination, it will retain the humidity inside the tub which is very important. With big holes and semi-loose but thorough poly-fil stuffing, the humidity will be retained and the air will flow plentifully and smoothly.
This is why monotubs are so awesome. If you don't take advantage of this feature you're not making full use of the genius of the chamber

I think the issue is that OP doesn't have access to a bigger hole saw or anything, which is why I suggested more holes. By all means though if you can get the appropriate sized bit to put a hole in that thing bigger holes with loose polyfil is going to be your ideal setup.
Either way those mushrooms clearly are begging for some FAE.

k so im back with some flicks not like i wanted but it should give u a idea of whats up. took everyones advice and hopefully it will come out according to plan. i just really hate that the huge monstorous pins are all on one side... o well should look crazy by tomorrow.
these pics i took at 7 just a little earlier when it was time to turn off the light. before i did anyhing.

i checked at 7 am when i had to turn the light on and i noticed it got warm in the tub i could feel the warmth emmiting from the tub when i opened to fan and flick  . I also noticed condensation is back.

just pick them as they come in, right before the veil rips all the way of the top, when your pin set is more even they will all finish about the same time..

the veil is the membrain between the stem and cap..when it starts to pull away or tear open, grab the base of the stem, twist back and forth and pull until it comes off.

sweet. i did a search on here just now. my apologies,as i am still kind of new to this site. i totally get what you are saying now. so would you say a few of these may be ready soon? cuz i seen some this morning that had already seperated from the stem like in yesterdays flick.
