i dont think so bro. they took a sample for carbon dating from the edge of the shroud which had repair work done in the medevil era. there hasnt been any testing allowed by the vatican since. so we still really dont know.

Not that it matters anyway...It's not like Jesus was a real flesh-and-blood person...so there wouldn't be a real burial shroud for him.

I think the anti christ was Nero Caesar. I saw something on the history channel about it. His name in numerology was 666, he persecuted christians supposedly and some other stuff. It wasn't a prophecy so much as some kind of veiled political statement about christians people prevailing against the romans.

I dont know what the story is or what to believe about jesus but I think to just say that he didnt exist is a little ignorant. How can you just claim a man didnt exist 2000 years ago? He was most definately a real man and walked this earth. As far as what his purpose and what he did as far as miracles go, who knows. But I do believe the man was crucified and didnt deserve it. For all we know he really was the son of god, theres just no proof to say yes or no.

How can you claim that he "definitely was a real man and walked the earth?" Every story about him being a real man was written many years after his death...certainly not by anyone who actually saw him, if he ever existed.

There is zero historical evidence to indicate that Jesus ever existed.

The only mentions of jesus as a person in the bible were written long after the death of anyone who could have met jesus...
The closest books we have to jesus' alleged life were written by paul, and he clearly didn't think Jesus was a human...

You have to look at it this way. In those times people didn't have anything in this world but land, personal items, animals and family. What could the man have had that would have stood as evidence after 2000 years? Men wrote things down because it was the only way to have record of events . I'm not saying that everything in the bible is tried and true, just saying there's bound to be more truth than fairy tales. I highly doubt they just made up Jesus. I'm sure he was a great man and tried to teach people the right way to live and treat thier brothers on this earth.

Lol...If there was an actual person who:
1. Walked on water
2. Turned water into wine
3. Brought a man back from the dead
4. Was born of a virgin
Why on earth would no one have written anything at all down about it until at least 40 years after that man's death? It makes no sense, whatsoever. This is particularly true when Paul/saul was running around during that 40 years writing about 80,000 words about the new religion of christianity...yet he knew jesus as a mythical story of a great man...
It's only later that people start writing as if he was a real man.
P.S. Before you call someone ignorant on a topic...you might want to check the depth of your own knowledge.

Dude I said as far as the miracles go who knows. We have no idea the power of god because we havent seen miracles of mysterious wonder, nor do we know anything for sure about what Jesus did on this earth or whether or not he was god in human form. All I'm saying is I don't think they just made up the man. They might have made up all the shit about him. As far as we know he was an early cult leader that had people believing he was god and shit. But on the other hand it's always a good idea to have an open mind and not just chalk up everything as mythology because you just don't know for sure.

We know for sure that the Jesus character is a compilation of ancient Mediterranean gods and religions. It's historical fact. There's a rich mythology that grew up around it called Christianity. That the religion is myth is historical fact. Every religion has some stupid myths about their origin, it's the only way to justify their bizarre and stupid beliefs.
