Screwed up the when was your first trip question, thought it said when was your last trip (judging from the numbers a lot of people did). Very interesting read though.

I have only ever had times where no effect was present. I have noticed that literally every person who has told me about their bad trip was literally scared because they experienced something scary. That being said if you are taking a substance that you know will make you see things what intelligent person would ever get scared about what they saw. Althoughi have had many experiences that seem like they are super real I still knew I had taken a trippy substance. If you ever get scared just remember its all in your head. Visual, tactile, auditory, taste or smell. It is just in your head....... Exhibit some self control

Only if it has mescaline base or equivalent. Xtc on its own is mdma which can only be put in caps because the crystals will not stay in a tablet form.

bad trips don't work like that yo. you can ward them off to some extent by telling yourself it's just a drug but once it turns on you you're at it's mercy. during my last bad acid trip i was completely aware that i was on a substance, looked at the clock to remind myself there was only a few hours left, kept calm, played some chill music, wasn't freaking out or anything... but the acid was still raping my head... HARD.
its not just being scared of visuals or being scared of being too high... it's actually horrifying. it's like the entire universe turns on you and starts ripping apart the innermost part of your consciousness.

no substance just "stays in tablet form." whoever told you that is just using his Turkish marketing skills to get you to by his molly. there are many pressed MDMA tablets. they use inert binders to put pills together.

me too.. always had anxiety issues... could've been due to my days of speed, heavy acid/shroom use as a teen... So i too cannot pinpoint which drug caused this, but i say regular exercise and benzo's help a great deal for that part.. I hardly ever get panic attcks now... haven't had in years!

I've never even seen or experienced a "bad trip"..
The only thing I can guess what people mean by that term is a psychological downward spiral...? I've had some bad moments but I always get over it quickly enough

I have on shrooms left my body and looked down at my corpse... As for bad trips... i've always looked back and thought wow... no matter how terrified i was at the time.. there was something special about it and therefore don't class it as bad... only mindblowing and an experience everyone on earth should try atleast once...

I find a bad trip involves : severe nausea, severe anxiety (often self perpetuated) and simulated (wretching) or actual vomiting. This plain ends any nice feelings completely and provokes the 'When will this end' frame of mind.

I honestly feel like some of the answers I gave would end up being misleading, so for clarification...
Do you ever have visual/sensory effects of tripping while sober?
I would have to say no, not that I'm conscious of.
How intense were those visual/sensory effects?
While sober? Again, I don't.
Have you ever had a very difficult trip?
Yes
Have you ever tripped for clearly longer than a dose of the drug should last?
Shrooms? No. Had pot brownies last for close to 24 hours and that was 23 hours longer than I wanted.
Have you ever had emotional/mental problems after a trip, that you attribute to tripping?
This is the one that needs clarifying. Mostly, I would put my bad memory down to shrooms and the lot, but who really knows? Sometimes, after a heavy trip (I rarely trip light), I'll be super focused afterwards. But, my memory isn't what it used to be. People at work think I'm fucking with them or trying to be funny when I ask them their name for the 10th time.
How intense was the worst of these problems?
If this is related to the last question, then for the most part, it's already been answered. I sometimes get a mushroom hangover the next morning, but that's not a big deal.
How long did the worst of these problems last?
I guess my memory is getting worse, but it might be exactly the same progression if I never tried a single drug in my life.

Nope.

Nope.

Not really. I've had the "bad trip" where I've begged a friend to take me to the hospital because I was certain that I would die, but I guess I'd answer no.
Do you feel tripping has had some adverse effects to your life?
Another one that needs clarification. There's the memory thing, and that can get in the way, but not too bad. My GF is okay with my grow-op and usage, but worries that I'll go overboard with it. After seeing a trip go downhill, she has reservations about allowing me to trip on a camping trip in public. (I'm trip in my home, almost exclusively.)
Have you ever done reckless/irresponsible things because of a trip that could have ended badly? (driving high, irresponsible redosing etc)
Yeah, I've driven when I shouldn't have. I've redosed to see how far I could take it. That's about it.
How has tripping affected your functionality in society?
Hmmm... Um.... I think that everyone that tries mushrooms is a better person for it, so I would say that I'm a better member of society because of tripping.
How do you feel your memory and thought processing are affected by tripping, while sober?
Not sure if it's the shrooms, but I find it hard to remember a lot of things, mostly new things. I know one phone number. Mine. Not my work one or my GF...these are all on speed dial. I just assume most people don't remember phone numbers nowadays.

25 years ago? Late 80's I guess.
How intensely do you usually dose the effect of your trips?
Since I grow, I trip quite frequently, and my tolerance is high. I usually go for 5 grams. If I go with anything less than 3.5, I'll be pissed off most of the trip, saying "I should be higher, damnit!"

Lately, it's been every other weekend, if not every weekend. I'd like to take a tolerance break so I can experience visual hallucinations again, but it's rather difficult to NOT trip when you have all those shrooms at your fingertips and you come home Friday night in a great mood and an empty stomach. Why NOT trip???

Used to. Back when I was in my teens, I got some laced with Ajax. Got really high, then really sick. Now, whenever I smell it, my body reacts like it's about to be poisoned, ala A Clockwork Orange. I still love hanging out with stoners and mostly date stoner girls, but I won't let anyone smoke around me or in my house while I'm in the same room.
Do you use other drugs? (ones that get you quite high, but not psychedelically nor like weed)
I've done stuff in my late teens, but recently, I guess I've done x a couple times in the past couple years. That's about it.
