There has to be a reason you like it so much. Focus on that and you'll eventually get bored and forget the song.

There could be different levels of appreciation operating. Some that relate to tempo and repetition, others to your own intellectual appreciation, and another, perhaps the one responsible for someone's singing along that has it's roots in our distant past and animal calls.
I've noticed that certain songs hit all the buttons straight off, others only have this effect after we are conditioned to recognize them, usually through regular radio listening.

I read a study once which seemed to indicate that if you find yourself with a song stuck in your very often, it is most likely the result of a mental impairment of some kind.

I think it has a lot to do with one's familiarity of the harmony, melody, feel, etc.
Pop songs can easily get stuck in people's heads since we've heard the same song 1000 times before but maybe only slightly different and we can instantly recognise this. (Not to mention the simplicity of most pop songs make them very easy to remember).
