litte update. i got a call from my gf tonight who was piss drunk again. she hands the phone to her neighbor who is a cool guy and asks me to come over. since its close to work, and I work in 3 hours, I say fuckit ill go over there n sleep. I get there and shes upstairs at the neighbors house fighting with some dude who seems like a kook but keeps saying 'man i dont even know you'. I hear him talking about what the fuck is up with her walking around naked.
She comes down and sees me, and im like, ok you guys asked me to come over, and im going to bed, do what you want, but i gotta cover for someone in a few hours. she flips shit and tells me to leave, and starts crying on the floor about how i throw her alcoholism in her face cause i can handle a few drinks and she cant. she finally says to get the fuck out, and I do.
Im walking to my car, and I see her following me, as she always does, to try and get me too come back. I just hop in my car and screech off. ignoring her bullshit calls and texts, cause its all drunken nonsense anyways. fuck her.
im gonna wait until shes sober and tell her its fucking over.

Yeah she sounds crazier than my chick...and my chicks crazy. I keep getting more stories about her night. I guess she was trying to fight some other drunk crazy lady at the bar and ended up with a black eye. On top of that, while I was sitting at her house messing around on my phone, she tried to take it from my hands with her teeth and wouldnt give up. Now my phone screens all cracked with bite marks in it.
On the other hand, shes only done this kinda thing twice since we've been dating. Shes in a world of hell and regret/self loathing. Ive been there, myself...so I cant lay it on too thick. Im mostly just annoyed about the whole thing.

How often does this happen? And, if in fact it is quite often, what is her general attitude about her drinking when she is sober?

She doesn't get blackout-asshole drunk very often. We've been together for about 7 months, and it's only happened twice or so. We do like to drink though. We'll tie one on maybe once a week/every other week.
She wants to be healthier than she is. I'm the outdoors type and go hiking every week. She wants me to wake her up early/drag her along/be a good influence blah blah...so then I won't drink with her till 4 am because I have to get up early for stuff...and I'm the dick.

im not sure if youre being sarcastic or not, but these are behaviors that she shows nearly every time were together. it would wear on anyone. I would like to think I have patience to work through this regardless of how long it takes, but she doesnt want to get better, so it could never stop. She has told me several times she would choose alcohol over me if given the ultimatum.
Its that feeling, almost when you can see the quality of your life in a frame, and you can see that because you are with this person, your life, and theirs, is getting worse and worse. Why the fuck should I stay with that?

Why would I be joking about that? As someone who's a drug addict in recovery and spends 4-5 days a week doing narcotics anonymous shit and being around sober people and high people trying to be sober I can tell you 99% chance she's an alcoholic.
The only way to help her is by dumping her.
