I have been jobless for a while and I have only been semi-looking for one. One day I was at the mall buying some jeans and I stopped in Hot Topic to look at their jewelry, which is the only thing I'd buy there since the rest of the store is lame. I get in there and I start chatting up the two girls working there, kinda flirting with them. Turns out it was the store manager and the assistant store manager, and they were all "Do you want a job here?" and I said maybe.
A week or so later I went in and turned in an application, with the idea in my head that a job's a job's a job at this point and I can work there part time between school. So I walked in and they remembered my name and everything, and I got the job.
Yeah I know, a job at fucking Hot Topic WTF was I thinking? 
I get there for my first day, Friday (  ), and go through all the little training things and it started to sink in what a fiasco it was to work at this place being in my mid-20s and HATING the store, music, and their customer base of little rebellious tweens spending their parent's money on stupid pseudo fashion. Worst of all they really expect their employees to be up on pop culture which is NOT my thing AT ALL. After a little bit of training they put me out on the floor to help people and do stuff. I did this for about an hour and a half before my shift ended. On the way out I knew I probably wouldn't be going back the next day. So I didn't. They called me four or five times on Saturday and Sunday but I just put my phone on silent and forgot about it for the whole weekend.
Then Monday comes around and I had the idea to troll the fuck out of them so I called them up and the store manager answered the phone. I said that I'm sorry I couldn't come in that weekend but I'd been in jail. She said, "Oh wow I hope everything's OK! What happened?" to which I replied, "Well my lawyer says I shouldn't discuss the case with anyone besides him but they accused me of disorderly conduct, beating up a hooker, and possession of cocaine."
Then, there was silence for a few seconds before this lady actually asked me, "So, do you still want to work here or should we assume you aren't coming back?" and I said, "Nah I'm probably not coming back but thanks. I got too much going on right now and I got this pimp after me." She wished me luck with everything and hung up.
And that was that. I worked at Hot Topic for a whole hour and a half.

I don't think I've ever been inside a hot topic, what kind of job duties do you have other than standing at a cash register? Is that one of the places where you're supposed to go out of your way to present yourself as a pop culture fag as well?
There is a GameStop by me that has a fat asshole behind the counter that is way too faggy for me to go there anymore, I imagine his manager petting his head as he goes to sleep at night. I hate those kind of people.

How the fuck did #3 extrapolate that the mall at which I worked for a day sounds a lot like one by his house? It doesn't even make sense since I didn't describe the mall at all. Hot Topic is only in malls as far as I know and they're in a lot of malls all over the country. Hence the above statement.

I actually did something similar last summer, I was looking for a second job because I wasn't getting any hours at my current one. So I applied at Krispy Kreme and they interviewed me when I dropped off the application, the manager told me he had 2 more interviews that day and would call me tomorrow and tell me if I got the job or not. I had a good feeling I was going to get the job over the other two applicants, who ever they might be. So the next day he calls me and tells me I got the job and tells me when my first day is. Inbetween that phone call and my first day my boss tells me that he's got more labor to spend on hours so I decide to not work at Krispy Kreme. The evening before I'm supposed to go in I call and ask for the manager and they tell me he's busy so I tell them I need to speak with some one in charge about my first day. I speak with the assistant manager and tell him thanks but no thanks so he transfers me to the manager that interviewed me and I tell him the same thing. He gets all pissed off and tells me "OH YOUR DON'T WANNA WORK HERE? WELL GOOD LUCK!!!" and hangs up.
Lol two people got rejected for nothing

I kinda trolled an old boss hard.
This fuckin pricksy fires me, right? Says they dont have room for me anymore.
2 days later I see his (only) daughter at a party. We went to school together. Nerdy, quiet, kind of girl.
I end up smokin a 50 rock with her and fucking her in the ass twice. I guess that was her 1st experience with anything other than weed or booze.
This was all like 10 years ago, last I heard she did some time for prostitution. 
I ended up seeing him at Wal-Mart about two years ago with a basket that had only a box of Milk Bones (dog treats) and he was crying at the rear of the store near the garden section.
Not sure if the stories are related, but yeah, fuck that dude

There's no reason that my brief employment at Hot Topic will come back to haunt me, save for one of the managers from Hot Topic somehow down the road being a prospective employer elsewhere, which is extremely unlikely.
