How long does it take to experience Benzo wihdrawal? 1

I've been taking Xanax and Klonopin for almost 1 1/2 years now and am now at 8mg Klonopin and 2mg Xanax a day. I know, pretty hefty dose, but that's what happens when you take them every day for that long.
Anyways, Saturday night my brother and a few of his friends came over so I could help them out with some video editing for a short film they are making. 2 of them smoke weed and eat pills, I just told them if they wanted to smoke bud, do it on the back porch.
Well I wasn't expecting them to come over, so I had my pill bottles out on the kitchen counter. Come yesterday morning and I realized they were gone. Now I'm 95% sure which one took them, but that's not the point. I'll deal with that later.
It's now Monday morning and I haven't had any benzos since Saturday at around 6pm. So what, about 36 hours. Couldn't do anything about it yesterday because my doctors office was closed, so I'll have to call them today to send the pharmacy some replacement scripts.
But it's strange. It's been 36 hours and I don't feel the slightest bit of uncomfortableness. No signs at all of withdrawal, which I was really scared of since I have been on them for so long.
Does it take longer or am I missing something? I know the half life of Klonopin is quite a bit longer than Xanax, but this long?
Or am I superman?
Btw, it's going to be at least a few more hours until I can get a replacement script. Maybe not for another 7 or so hours.
And like I said, I'll deal with my brothers friend. Haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do first. Gonna have my brother confirm that he was the one, which shouldn't be hard because this idiot brags about EVERYTHING. Once I make sure it's him, I might just call the cops on him.
You don't steal another persons medicine. Especially when the withdrawals could kill them.

I've always heard it called the 3-day hump...
however, some people only experience mild w/d or not at all.
I wish you the best of luck, brother. You're in for a ride.

As long as they don't hit me in the next few hours, I'll be able to get new scripts and all will be well.
I thought for sure I'd feel at the very least very anxious and uncomfortable by now.
Btw, this kid I suspect of stealing them. He should be easy as hell to find out. Hell, I wouldn't at the very least be surprised if he tries to sell some to my brother or one of my brothers other friends, if he hasn't already. He's not my brothers friend. He's a friend of a friend and apparently he does some really sketchy things. Wish I would have known about that before I let that prick in my house.

I know that kind of person, they will raid the medicine cabinet of every house they visit to shop for actives.
Hide your pharmaceuticals man.
You know what you should do is count your pills before he comes over next time, and put them somewhere obvious. Maybe tell him you have to go upstairs or something to take a shit, somethign that will take a few minutes.
Count them again with he leaves. If he stole any, call him on it.

Oh there will be no next time he will be coming into this house.
And he's one of the suspects that my brother thinks stole his subwoofers, amps, and my 35mm camera equipment I let him borrow out of his truck when he accidentally left the back hatch unlocked.
From what my brother said, he's keeping the dude close to him to get info on whether it was him that stole all the stuff. He did say that he noticed when they left that the guy was walking kinda weird and every once in a while you could hear pills rattle around in a bottle. So if we can get him for stealing my pills, maybe now we can get him if he was the person that stole all the other shit.
And I usually put all my pills in my medicine cabinet, but they showed up right after I took my evening dose so I guess I just kinda pushed them to the side near where I keep my mail. Mistake on my part, but still completely inexcusable that he took them.
I have the detectives phone number that contacted me about my camera equipment that was stolen, so maybe this is a good thing. Maybe this is the tipping point that will force the cops to go after him. I just hope he hasn't sold all the shit off yet.

Man, now I'm less worried about withdrawals and more about nailing that little prick.
You don't mess with another persons medication. Especially when withdrawal from said medication can cause some VERY serious medical problems.

I don't know OP, but I'm always afraid of Benzo withdrawal too.
I've been on every Benzo, and I'm on Valium now. 40mg a day.
I've been on benzo's for about 2 years now, and I desperately want off of them. But I'm stuck in two places.
1.) Withdrawal 2.) Addiction
As much as I hate to say it, I'm desperately addicted to them.
I'd like to work on my anxiety on my own. But now I fear it's too late. But like you I'm afraid of dying from the withdrawals.
I know I can ween myself off, but I don't know how to do it safely. And like I said, I'm desperately addicted.
I could give up cigarettes before I could give up my benzo's.
Sorry if I de-railed. Just my 2 cents.
I truly hope you're okay, and that the pharmacy understands your situation and gets you an emergency refill.
Good look op.

(( let us know what happens ))

I have crippling panic attacks. So bad that I've been to the emergency room over 10 times in the last few years.
I've suffered from extreme anxiety since I was a little kid, my first panic attack was when I was 19. You'd think I would have gotten used to them over time, but no. They are about the scariest, most painful wretched things that can happen to you short of a massive heart attack or getting shot 5 times in the chest.
I put off taking benzos for YEARS. Tried alternative pharmaceuticals, yoga, meditation, etc etc... Nothing worked. The panic attacks kept getting worse and worse.
And when I define a panic attack, it's not like those little whiny ass kids saying they're about to have a panic attack over their finals. I'm talking about heart rate over 220bpm, bp sky high, tingling in my fingers and feet until my muscles literally contract due to depletion of co2.
This is no bullshit. This is a serious case of anxiety with panic attacks. Scariest fucking thing I've ever been through. And I've been through it more than 20 times.
So yeah, I tried every single thing I could possibly try, but ultimately the only thing that could stop the hell I was living and fearing was benzos. And I'm fine with being on them. I haven't had a bad panic attack since November 2010. I can leave my house without the fear and panic that something is gonna go horribly wrong or I'm gonna freak out in public (I was diagnosed with mild to moderate agoraphobia too.
Overall my quality of life has increased exponentially. I no longer have to drink a couple of shots of bourbon just to go grocery shopping. I don't have to drink a pint just to get my hair cut. I can function in the real world, not nearly as well as others, but way better than a few years ago.
Anyways, got my script filled. My brother is on the lookout for the pills to nail that douche bag's ass to the wall and everything is well.

Yeah, my bad. I didn't read the part that it was prescribed to you for anxiety.
I imagine three-six months of daily use creates physical dependency depending on who you are.

No biggie. Someone makes a post about benzos and most people automatically think they are abusing them or using them recreationally. I think the same way, even though I use them strictly for medicinal purposes.
Just called my brother. Him and his friends are supposed to meet up with the dude later tonight. He said he has something good that everyone will like. I told my brother that the bottle had about 95% blue generic 1mg tabs with the split down the middle and the rest were green football shaped, still 1mg.
This should be interesting. I just hope they all don't just beat the living shit out of him. I want the dude to go to jail, not be beaten to a bloody pulp and have the others catch charges for assault.

nah that was my fault for posting and not reading what you said.
Everyone is different though. I know with opiates some people who took a year to develop dope sickness. For me it was four months.
The more short acting the faster you develop the physical dependency. When you flush your receptors that many times it causes tolerance and addiction (not in your case) to develop.

I'm glad you're ok. Thieves in general are scumbags, but stealing stuff from your house after letting him hang out? Stealing your medicine?
That boy needs a severe wake up call; what a fuckin' low-life.

Back in my early 20's I would have handled this myself or gathered up the gang for a good old fashioned curb stomping. But with age comes maturity.
And it probably wouldn't help getting revenge on a thief considering how I usually have at least 1 handgun on me at all times.
From what I gather, this idiot has so many pending cases against him and so many allegations of theft, robbery, etc on top of parole and all that shit... Hopefully he has a few of my pills left. That will be enough to send him away for a good long while. At least long enough to be able to entertain parties by shoving 2 corn cobs up his ass.

Hell even if I didn't have a permit to conceal carry, I could still open carry without any license at all.
I wonder if that includes slinging my AR-10 over my shoulder and walking into the gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes.

I always wanted to own one, but my friend has one. Hell of a gun. You should have seen them when the SS190 ammo was available, before that cripple Jim Brady got his greasy immobile hands all over it.
At 20 feet we got that shit to penetrate 3 2/3 NYC yellow page books.
But noooo, apparently ammo that can easily defeat level II Kevlar vests are evil. Even though the ammo you can buy for it today can defeat it as well.
Bureaucracy at work.
Too be honest though, a Five Seven would be a horrible choice for a self defense weapon. Small caliber, extremely fast speeds. Even the hollow points wouldn't give enough knock down power. Its like shooting a bb gun at a piece of paper.
You want the round to STOP and expel all of it's energy into the target and it's vital organs, not pass straight through.
