That's how Diablo 3 is. There are only a few main multiplayer games that have truly improved the quality of my life. Duke3d back in 1996 to 1999. Starsiege: Tribes (CTF) from 1999 to 2005. Left for Dead 2 , Killing Floor, Diablo 2......and now my friends....Diablo 3.
I can't remember every girl I've dated....but I certainly can remember every great multiplayer game that I spent lots of quality time with. I truly believe Diablo 3 is going to be one of the Great Ones

Jesus man... you've played Duke3D  .. I remember playing it too.. but I was a kid..
I get what your saying but maybe you should consider, looking for a real thing girlfriend..
And on the other side, I think your right. D3 is fucking awesome!!

Been there done that.....I have a 2 year old son, I've had my share of awesome, long term 1-3 year relationships in the past 15 years......
Don't get me wrong, if I meet an awesome girl in the near future that I connect with, I'm all for a relationship - but having been through enough, I'm not seeking one now.
Yea, I played duke3d DAILy for years.....first game I ever played competitely online. It was WAY before we had broadband , we used to dial into each other's modems using phone numbers.
I remember the shock when my parents got the phone bill, all those long distance Duke3d modem calls, haha!

I bought Boutang a copy of the Collectors Edition and I think that he has a free copy of it already because of his World of Warcraft account or something like that.
I don't know what his user name is though...
I know he'd love to play with everyone here.

Well that was not expected. But you get to meet a lot of different people.
Yea, dialing a modem to play Duke 1v1.. that was exciting.
Anyway.. my battle tag is == Sojo#1516 ==. But I dont think that I'll have a lot of time to play in groups, but still, here it is anyways.

Acknowledged. I'll go ahead and save your battletag in notepad, and add you when diablo3 launches
If all goes as planned, I should have a 4-man crew including me for launch, *crosses fingers*
Even so, I'm going to be playing the game for a long time - so I'll definitely keep adding battletags of dudes I find here and elsewhere.

Also guys, I just found the Diablo 3 Launch Day Preparation Guide, from Blizzard.

One of the things it is saying is to go ahead and create your Battletag NOW, because they expect the web-site to get slammed during launch/release.
If you want to be guaranteed to play when it launches, get everything prepared before hand.
1) If you purchased the digital version, go ahead and download it
2) Create your Battletag
3) Download Teamspeak 3 or whatever voice communication software you will be using, and configure it
4) Decide what Class you will be starting with
5) Decide who you will be playing with launch day

I'm on the edge of deciding to play or not... I wasnt very interested at first, but the closer it gets the more and more I want to play... Any suggestions on how to pick what uh.. race(?) to start with? I havnt really given them much look yet and this might just persuade me to get in on the action!

And yea that launch day prep guide is good, already was planning on doing alll that stuff tho or already have

If anyone is serious about playing at release, provided the servers cooperate, I'll be playing pretty much Constantly for about 36 hours after release. So much anticipation, not just for Diablo III, but my friend got a CS:GO key that I can use. 
Also, as I typed this Gamestop texted me to come get my game at 12:01

As Churning said, the official site has pretty much all the info you could want to initially decide what class to play.
There are only 5 classes to choose from.
Barbarian - tank / wields heavy weapons like swords, axes, etc. Can go in and just kill stuff - think of HULK
Witch Doctor - summons creatures, seems really awesome
Monk - Martial arts type stuff, group healing i believe,
Wizard - casts spells, ranged,
Demon Hunter - ranged, crossbow, very agile, easy to kite / run around the map with
Thats just extremely brief descriptions - but on the official site, they have very, very detailed descriptions of each, plus a gameplay video for each class. I suggest you check the site out

LOL, everyone is expecting D3 to be like an MMO. Guys, the Diablo series started way before MMOs were around and it's not an MMO or like one. Just go look up some videos to see what it's like, it's an action-RPG.
Furthermore, this is a Blizzard title. That means it's going to be fucking amazing!

I placed a preorder and will be up at the crack of dawn to get my carnage on. Once I have established a character and know what my Battletag (or what ever the fuck its called) is, I will be letting all of y'all know. Summer vacation is going to kick so much ass for the 2 weeks that I have off...
