 Is it easy to grow opium?

And if it is, are there places you can get poppy seeds?
And no I'm not a cop and I hate dea. Just curious how hard or easy it would be to potentially grow a poppy plant or two.

First of all it's not illegal to grow poppies so it's sketchy you even brought up not being a cop.
That's like showing up to a drug deal and being like "Don't worry bro, I'm not wearing a wire"
Also, this is a site dedicated to growing psychedelic mushrooms, you REALLY think people will be sketched out by a question like this?

the grocery store.
They are supposed to make it so the seeds can't be used to grow a plant, but they obviously miss some.
If you just throw a handful, some of them will grow.
Alternatively you could buy dried popaver somniferum pods online "for decorative purposes" and just collect the seeds and plant them.
then you know exactly what you're growing and every seed will be fertile.

more info on that?
I thought most cacti grew pretty slowly, while poppies take 1 season?
Also, for 1 plant you will only get 1 dose per foot (about) with san pedro, whereas poppies you could get several if you harvested the opium and you can fit lots of them in a small area.
