Cornelis van Elk, a Dutch marine biologist, said the drugs turn off a part of the dolphins' brains which tells them when to surface for air.
Connyland keeper Nadja Gasser told local media how one of the dolphins, named Chelmers, died, according to the Daily Mail.
"He was drifting under the water and was clearly in trouble and so we jumped into the water.
"We tried to hold him. He was shaking all over and was foaming at the mouth.
"Eventually we got him out of the water. His tongue was hanging out. He could hardly breathe.
"He was given adrenalin, but it didn't help.
"After an hour the dolphin died."
In a report in the Daily Mail shortly after the rave, wildlife experts said noise from the event could have stressed the animals' immune systems and led to the death of the first dolphin, Shadow.

No more aquatic park raves. Which is a cool Fucking idea then a toolbox comes along an throws drugs in a dolphin tank because let's be honest there's no way that was an accident.  how much does a dolphin cost anyways? Wonder if the promoter is gonna get stuck with the bill?

maybe someone tossed their stash in the water to try and get out of trouble...maybe not even meaning to feed it to the dolphins at all. total accident? either way, tragic story.  i love dolphins.

It's not an accident at all. You have to physically aim and throw the heroin into the dolphin tank. No accident.

that is really sad man. i hate when people think its cool to get animals high. only the forest animals that seek out natural herb and mushrooms should be getting themselves high
i came home from work one day to find my roommate and his friend blowing bong hits of kief into an empty 30 case that had my barely 1yr cat in it. super bad times

I'm sure there are plenty of dolphins left.
Wouldn't want there to be too many dolphins, would you?
Maybe the dolphins can be used for food.
The dolphins were probably put out of their misery by OD'ing on the heroin, so it's not that bad.
The dolphins probably tripped the fuck out for a bit and had a good time.

This is sad, but as long as we're sharing animal drug stories.
About a year and a half ago I walked back into my room on a Saturday and my 6 month old American Bulldog was lying on his back just chewing something up, his gums flapping away. I looked around on the ground and I saw half eaten mushroom caps. Motherfucker had eaten some of my shrooms. Still don't know how he had got them or how much as I had lots on hand and I keep them in the fridge. Normally he's shy around people but that afternoon he just hung out with everyone as we drank outside. Funniest thing ever considering how his retarded ass eats.

once upon a time my dog got into the rubbish, the rubbish had muffins in it that had been baked with marijuana butter (too much butter made them oily and inedible so they got binned)he ate the whole batch, enough to get maybe 10 people high. he was stoned for almost 3 days, too stoned to even walk. it was funny but at the same time sad because i didn't want him to suffer. this is where the story gets good. after that 3 day period of not walking, being stoned out of his mind he started walking again. the cool thing now that he was acting normal his walking improved, his arthritis in his back legs had completely gone. this lasted about a week then he went back to walking with a limp. i blew smoke into his face a couple of times and this also helped his arthritis, after a while he would follow me to where i smoke in the backyard every so often, normally after he started walking with a limp again. not sure how possible it is but i think he realised that getting stoned with me would help his arthritis so when he needed another pain killing hit he would follow me outside to get some.

OMFG.
sorry that description of foaming at the mouth and what not struck a nerve. My cat ate chocolate and suffer similar symptoms (but survived with some minor brain damage at least). NOT FUCKING COOL.
On another note completely. My cat now is a valium addict, he must take them to control the seizures related from the previous incident. He also likes to jump on on the second floor hanging off the edge of the stairs under my smoking spot, and catch a buzz. I think! I no way ever want to get my cat high, but I don't realize it till he's above me! Sneaky fucker! He also likes booze, I had a 40 I was thinking, and it was sitting on the floor, capped and everything and he was licking the cap trying to get any substinance from it lol.
I don't know whether or not to give in to my cat! On one hand, I think it's wrong to give an animal that, but on the other hand, the poor guy has had such a rough life, and I just wanna let him enjoy life since in all likely hood, he won't have a long one. (Either he will die from a medical reason, or he will kill himself doing something ridicolous, like just randomly jumping off the 2nd floor like he was attempting to fly or something, there was NO possible spot for him to land in the direction he took off! He just did it blindly, an hit his head hard on the fridge, thought it killed him!)
*sigh* Poor cat.
