My plants are still in the cabbage part of growth but they are so tall they are falling over. I don't know if I should try to stake them up or what. The tops are turning up and starting to grow toward the Sun. I know when they start to send up shoot they will be way to top heavy... What should I do?

Went and checked my outdoor patch. Fucking farmer deceided to till his entire field and killed a few hundred nice plants. Hes never went that close to the perimeter of this field until now...weak!
IS IT TOO LATE TO PLANT AND GET A HARVEST STILL THIS YEAR? I live in the great lakes region.
I have a few tiny pods forming on another small patch I have so thats cool at least

That is strange.. maybe it has to do with the amount of daylight in a day now that Summer is starting. I know when you plant in the Spring that they start to flower when the days get longer.

Its the only one that is like that. I seen a little pod bent over the other day, looked yesterday and there is a tiny white flower and the pod is fully erect. The pod is the size of....a baby tooth...or half a pea

That is really common when you have planted too late in the season. Also , they will abort the pods. They don't take heat well at all.

March is far too late in my zone. Great lakes did you say? When does the snow melt? That is when I would sow , if I were you.

I live in the dairy land, so yeah GL region. we didnt have snow this year...just 2 storms that melted off in 3 days. I didnt want to plant in 70degree February to have the plants snowed in all march. But we had 80-90 degree march and a cool april. From my reading, I planted when I was supposed to, just an odd season this year

You probably got a sport of the Persian/Peshawar whites. It's been bred into a seperate Peshawar strain, "Album". Supposedly they only grow 24" but mine were only 8" max. I tried them one year thinking it would be easy to hide beds of them in other plants since they're not tall but they have proportionately sized pods as well. There still might be some merit to this idea, if one were to harvest the whole pod but it wouldn't make sense to try and slice the pods; too much work! Quick crop.
