for a beginner what bike would you recommend someone to start off with? i bought a 250 ninja and learned to ride on my own pretty wrecklesly before i sold it .. my question is which one is harder to learn? choppers are much heavier so im wondering if i could handle such a beast if the opportunity arrises.

I wouldn't recommend a chopper for anyone, let alone a beginner, now if you mean a cruiser, then something like a dyna class Harley is perfect for a beginner. Keep away from the rice burners, their fun, but your gonna get a Harley eventually, we all do....

suzuki boulevard. its like a harley cruiser except half price and it doesnt fall to pieces when you leave the dealers lot. Most importantly you wont be lumped into the group that refuses to even buy a pair of undies unless they say Harley Davidson.

I'd rather a rice rocket than cruiser. Easier to control, to me and if you're riding and its cold, hunker down a bit lower and the engine will keep you warm..

I dont consider 1800cc to be a small bike by any means.

The boulevard is a nice bike, cant go wrong, but you are dead wrong on Harley's. They are made just as well as any other bike. That myth comes from old bikes, and back then all bikes were like that, no matter who made em. Quality has gotten better across the board. Also, most "real" Harley guys hardly wear any Harley stuff. I own a Harley AND work at a Harley dealership and own two shirts. There's nothing like the ride, feel and sound of a HD!

I would stick with a sportbike myself. Only drawback is insurance may be expensive, like for my bike, which is actually in the supersport class. Its a ZX6. Two wheels,One love baby.

its a weird little bike scene spreading from europe... gets big i. ghetto areas and attracts a lot of fuckwads and white trash but there are some fucking amazing streetfighters and you can literally spend days drooling over simple and cheap builds on that website. hard not to want one.
