Extract or tea will help with the nausea, some of it's really because of the mushrooms and not the magic.

I was quoting anon 13 with that reply, and yes your ideas of how a person who has taken psilocybin mushrooms should act, think, feel etc. is in contradiction with his close mindedness (as anon 13 has taken mushrooms)towards people's interests being outside of cultivation on this site. Well I think the proof is in the pudding that most do not feel or think the way you think one does after a psilocybin experience. " Your op implies that you think there is a common belief system evoked by psilocybin, which IME is not true. Also I am not the only one who interpreted your op this way either if you take note of other posters objections. A lot of people take mushrooms for recreational purposes, for an individual spiritual pursuit, to try to seek answers to why the universe is the way it is etc.
Your idea of the prototypical belief system sounds more like something buddha taught, not mushrooms.

I'm gonna respectfully disagree with your assessment of most people's thoughts and feelings after a psilocybin trip. That is neither here nor there tho. I just wanna know how many shroomerites have ever tripped on shrooms.

lol alright man, maybe read the forums a little more and you will see for yourself. If all you wanted to know was how many people have tripped off mushrooms you wouldn't have made the generalization that you did. What leads you to believe that psilocybin evokes any belief system?

I've never liked sifting through trip reports or the Psyche. Experience Forum in general but virtually everyone I've tripped hard with has had ego deaths, time warps or at least intense feelings of oneness with others/their surroundings at large. I could only presume such experiences would lead to belief system adjustment, as it did me. And that the adjustment would be a shift crudely in a similar direction for most.

I think the most basic insight found from tripping is something like 'wow, theres a whole lot more going on than I thought'
But that won't just make people nicer.
And theres the fact that peoples perception of the experience may be totally different.
It was a good thing for you. Spread that love. Don't get all twisted up about other people's perceptions.

It's not hard for people to have the kinds of feelings that you're talking about, however, internalizing those feelings and making them a part of your core being can take years, lifetimes, or never be accomplished at all. The entheogenic experience "lifts the veil" so to speak, but the veil is indeed dropped again. It takes hard work for most people to lift it up in a more permanent way.

 so you formed your belief off of your personal experiences and that of a few friends? I would think someone making such a large sweeping gerneralization would have looked into this a little bit more. I have been reading trip reports and discussing mushrooms for years with other psychonauts and I can assure you that your stereotypical belief is far from the way things really are. Whether you agree with me or not, has no bearing on the truth of the matter.

I don't think there's a prototypical belief system. Everyone is different. Cubies allow your brain to open up more, reflect on things and think about things in novel ways. Parts of your brain that don't usually communicate with each other communicate with each other. I think you get out of it what you put in to it. I like to go fishing and trip ballz. I had an interesting talk with a fish once. And I let it go instead of eating it. I usually do catch and release when I trip.
