Be smart, and talk to your wife about this first. Throw it all (and I mean everything!) on the table. Then, please seek professional help for this girl, and talk to her as well. Make sure you don't blame her at all and make it perfectly clear that both you and your wife are on her side and that she can talk with you both about anything, whenever she wants. Don't punish her for it, but make it clear that such behavior is not acceptable. Maybe even ask her if someone approached her intimately, but be wise to choose your words. After all, the girl is only 11 years old.
Of course it is possible this is not the case, but it might as well be. Therefore, don't just act like nothing happened and take this kind of behavior seriously. In many cases there is an underlying problem for this kind of behavior. Sure, it just could be nothing more than curiosity, but it might as well be more than that.
I wish both you, your step-daughter and your wife the best. Be wise and take the right decision...

This post proves that the fact that the girl has problems is correct, and even that it is possible that this girl has been the victim of sexual aggression (possibly from a close relative).
