Not 100% true...look at that hot streak he went on. And he has 2 shutouts against the Devils, and only 1 goal in 3 games. If he can play like he was in game 5-6, I can't see the Devils offense, which isn't as good as the Pens, scoring more than 1-3 goals in the game...and the Flyers have the offense to back that up.
I'm worried about their PK, it's fucking cannon. Hopefully they continue to get lit up in the playoffs though. And I'm hoping Marty doesn't have some renaissance and post numbers like the 90's.

Devils are a little bigger on the back end, so I dont see Philly scoring as many goals. Broduer either plays awesome or he lets in 3 or better. NJ also has some fire power up front similar to PIT. Philly needs to tighten up defensively and Bryz needs to be the stand up guy. He needs to outplay Marty and the Flyers will win. Unless Giroux goes cyborg again of course

Yeah. The Devils have always been a real defensive team (fucking trap haha). And they do have some sick goal scorers no doubt, (I mean, Kovie, Parise, Elias, Henrique, Zajac, Baby G) but the Pens still had the depth advantage and had more skill through all 4 lines I think. Marty has been pretty damn good this playoffs so far, so I'm hoping he slows down a little. Then again, he was playing the Panthers.
And the Flyers will have Grossman back in the first game, and Mezi by the 3rd, and if they keep the mentality of the way they played with blocking shots and playing well defensively, I can't see the Flyers losing this series. Then again, I can totally also see Devils coming in and busting Phillys asses if the Flyers try playing the same type of game they played the first 4 against Pitt. Behind some stellar play by Brodeur and the D, and the Devils making the games tight with a few OT's and coming through in the clutch (Elias surpassing Jagr on all time OT winner list?)
And I hope G-Sus plays like he did in the first round. There something burning in that kids head and he wants that Cup real bad. The look after Game 5 still haunts my dreams.

I got a bad feeling about STL v LAK, think L.A. have some real impetus after round 1, hope STL can pull their socks up and get the job done, not good losing game 1 at home.. LA might be the surprise package this year, they did destroy VAN..
As for the Devils, we'll see, they have always liked game 7's IMO, they have been a scrappy, persistent side since the early 90's, though I admit I haven't followed NHL too closely the last few years since they stopped airing games on TV over here in the UK.
Devils were playing the trap back then and seems they still like a similar style of play, guessing Brodeur is a large part of that set up. It will be sad to see him go, he must have been playing a good 22 years at least.

Bryz is standing on his head! Where's the rest of his team? Devils 8-0 in shots

What a game! First period was a little disappointing, just rust from being off a full week maybe, but they came back and outplayed the Devils in the rest of the game. Bryz let in that soft goal to tie it 2-2, but he had some great saves as well. Stepped his game up from the first series.
And Broduer looked great too. Made some fantastic stops I thought were gonna be goals haha.
Btw, I'm pretty sure on the first NJ goal, Matt Read got an assist...what a horrible turnover haha.

Coyotes lead 4-2 at the end of the 2nd period, with a 1-0 lead in the series. Phoenix is looking to be in good shape

If they can kill that penalty they will be in good shape. If they give up an early one start rolling up cuz we going to OT again

No way does this one go to OT also, they play too good of defense for them to give this 2 goal lead up in this last period of play

PHX got a quick one right after. PHX will lead 2-0 in series
It's really turning out to be a year of the underdog

Yeah they did. Made me start eating my words. I feel safe now with 3:30 and a 2 goal cushion.
Would surprise me if Phoenix found a way to lose this series now

Phoenix is showing me up. I didn't even have them past the first round, and they are playing damn well, against who I thought would make a strong push for the Cup. Still a 7 game series, but hey, already proving me wrong.
How horrible for the fans would it be if they ended up winning a Cup and then moving to another city?

We've been talking about that, I think they would find a way to keep the team in Phoenix. I am pretty sure the league blocked a move that would have taken the Coyotes to Canada

Isn't Quebec city already building an arena? All year long they claimed they were gonna have a team back.... Maybe its the bluejackets, no one cares about them

Yeah fuck the BlueJackets, and I am from Columbus.
I am pretty sure I heard that the NHL blocked the sell to Quebec

I always heard Bettman say they weren't looking to move the team yet so they had no intention of even talking to investors in quebec.
It's all good the maple leafs revenue sharing will keep them in PHX, along with contributions from the Sabres as well

I think so too. The number of Coyotes fans who have come out the woodwork during these playoffs have been crazy.
Phoenix is an awesome sports town when their teams are doing well. The Suns always draw good numbers and the DBacks did after they won the World Series.
Phoenix leads 2-0 heading to Nashville

Wow, 5-2 LAK. Didn't see that kind of blowout. The Kings are setting themselves up to be serious Stanley Cup Finalists. Crazy game, Kopitar's first goal was dirty.
And WOOHOOO CAPITALS! Glad to see the Rangers lose a game. Keep it up!
