I disagree. A culture can EASILY be grouped into liking a certain food and there's nothing hateful about it... I'm being RACIAL, not RACIST, by saying "Jewish people like falafel".
There's no hate behind it, I'm just stating a racial stereotype.

Where did you read my solution to solving internet prejudice was a totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production.

Yeah that graemlin doesn't exactly scream, "HATE" to me. It just pokes fun at black people liking watermelon more than any other race. Just like white people love "bagels with cream cheese".

(First off, I don't believe that blacks were cultured into liking watermelons, I mean who doesn't like them?)
The point I was trying to get across is I don't see a black stereotype being perpetuated, all I see is a child eating a watermelon. She just happens to be black.

again, That stereotype was established way before the person who first made crack was born. Only a true racist would look at an image of a black person and assume he is on crack.

I meant to reply to some other guy that stated creating a welcoming community was communistic. WorldWideWlnton I think.
But yeah, I'm baffled by how many people seem to be under the impression that the shroomery is a rising government power, rather than a community of mushroom growers.

This is dumb. The purpose of this image is to point out a stereotype. The images just doesn't happen to be black. Denying this is equally ignorant as trying to eliminate it.
I use that argument all the time to bait people who are being overzealous in combating racism by injecting it into places that it actually isn't. So yeah, bullshit on that.

Newbie, please. Saying that true racism doesn't exist anymore is bullshit and you can smell it from a mile away. I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but of course it exists; if it didn't, we wouldn't be having this discussion. We wouldn't have genocide in the world today. I'm all for putting the painful bygones right where they belong, in the past, but you and I both know that such a nonchalant dismissal of a topic that many people over the course of history have valued more dearly than their own lives is bound to cause problems with somebody. Perhaps there's no real answer to this age old dilemma. Human nature is to ostracize those who are different, and it seems like someone is going to feel offended no matter what the decision is.

This is a tricky issue.
Racism is like flaming, except it indirectly can target a group of people and a flame is targeted at a specific individual.
If you have to be racist to post on a forum, perhaps you aren't worthy of posting in the pub.

If it was a white person eating a watermelon, would you consider it racist?
I don't see any of you considering racist, because they aren't being depicted as Jews in the photo. If they were, I assume the ones who consider racist, would consider this racist as well.

Why not just let them express themselves, and let people react? Why mask reality? Racist assholes do exist, and they should be called out on their stupidity.
