I don't expect this site...or anything in life to be fair...But that doesn't mean that I have to respect Wiccan for abusing his power to express his personal dislike for a user.
good thing then you don't have me for a mod. 
Being completely fair and unbiased is the ultimate challenge imo. I certainly can't manage it.

OG is (theoretically) an adult. He knows the rules. He was clearly trolling. He has been banned several times before for the same thing. Trolling is what he does.

too much arguing, not enough debating...
this isnt a dick measuring contest guys.
IMO we should prolly ditch the smileys but nothing is going to stop people from saying what they want, even a threat of being banned.
if someone offends you, confront them, reasonably and personally, or shut up and get off the internet. pretty simple.

IMO we should prolly ditch the smileys but nothing is going to stop people from saying what they want, even a threat of being banned.
The point is they won't be here doing it. And yes, the threat of banning is a strong deterrent. I quit flaming people long ago because I wanted to keep posting here.

Hopefully this will not get taken to extremes. We have energetic opinionated members with strong personalities in many of the debate forums. You really can't expect them to conduct business like a cooking forum.  Look at how much traffic those forums generate.

Oh I agree.
I have no problem with the N word myself or the white version or the hispanic version etc. I'm about intent. The first example I gave where the poster said sex with blacks was bestiality was seething with fear and hate imo. It was very obvious when taken in light of that persons other posts. Were this my site his perma ban after would have taken place immediately. On the other hand banter using most racial slang taken in context doesn't bother me even when against me.
So violent hatred is the context for my objection to racist ideas and language. I would hope that the mods would discuss these situations before acting so that no banning mistakes would be made.
