 Smoked peganum harmala (syrian rue) seeds - Terence McKenna's advice

I got this idea from a Terence McKenna lecture and was wondering if anybody has tried smoking peganum harmala seeds whilst under the influence of mushrooms. I don't remember the name of the lecture, here's approximately what he said, as best as I can remember it:
"Smoke some peganum harmala seeds whilst on mushrooms and this will lift the veil on a series of very cool hallucinations which lasts around 15 minutes... This combination is called 'vegetable television' because it's approximately this engaging... it's great for beginners."

Im not to keen on loading up a bowl to the top with seeds. But I thought about trying it! Im sure you can do some kind of extraction and turn it into a smokable freebase. When smoking harmala alkaloids, would you be able to skip the maoi diet since its going straight to the bloodstream?

He also mentioned smoking Caapi in one of his books, True Hallucinations I think. He was on the right track, he just needed to go deeper. One can make a caapi leaf extract using only boiling water and evaporation which has a maoi inhibition effect.

One need not even extract; freebase seeds with clean surfectant-free (clear) ammonia and dry (evaps clean).
This is a great way to freebase seeds for smoking; even ashes or calcium carbonate and water/ any "yopo teks" to freebase the seeds really helps.
Smoke less seed for much greater effect.
Some recommend toasting the S.r. seeds first for easier/more pleasant smoke.

I made a couple attempts with smoking straight seeds and never got any effects from it. I also have caapi leaves too, and never had luck with them either... Packed a bowl as much as possible and still nothing Only tried it sober though

I'd like to try rue with mushrooms. Never gotten around to obtaining it yet.

Try Caapi with Chali leaves mixed in, after soaking both shreddings in clear ammonia 20 minutes and evaporating to dryness. Roll a big cigar, throw some Yopo in there too haha... and say hello to the jungle spirits for me. Maybe chew on the vine also (as natives do) before/during the smoking.
OP: My dog liked to smoke syrian rue seeds when he ran out of unmentionable. Then he mixed some crushed seed with water and calcium carbonate (white ashes from unmentionable) and dried them. He then smoked this mixture and took his used dose from 10 seeds to 5 seeds.
