Say there's this girl who has a dazzling personality, easy to get along with, likes sex, smart, and motivated. She is like your best friend. Would you date her if you didn't find her really sexually attractive? There is nothing wrong with her, my friends make comments that she's hot. I think I'm turned off because she doesn't play hard to get and just wants to be in a relationship.
Would you date this girl in question?

I have pretty low (what I call "reasonable") standards...and, I'm often turned on by similarities like you listed (the best friend thing).
So, I'd definitely date a sub standard girl, but not MY substandard...because my standard is already pretty low.

Looking back on my life a decade later, I should've married "that girl".
The personality, the loving, the caring, the kindness, her hugs, just... her. She was no prizewinner but after all these years she's still got a place in my heart.
Get over how people look. Stop caring what other people think. I wish I learned this earlier in life. This whole experience is about what makes you and the ones around you happy.

I have a date with a girl in a few days that I'm not attracted to. That is why I read your thread.
I'm going out with her basically because she seems kind of crazy and I don't want her to kill herself if I said no. I'm just a nice fucking guy.

For me, people become more attractive to me when I start learning about their good personality. So someone who starts out unattractive will usually become very physically attractive to me when my brain starts making the subconscious association between them and good times. I'm sure there could be extreme circumstances that could make a person unattractive to me no matter how great they are, but I don't know where the line is.
That being said, if I'm not physically attracted to a woman, I can't date her. But I have the potential to be physically attracted to all types of people, so my range of choices isn't restricted much.
Luckily I'm with someone I found massively attractive before I even spoke a word to her.

I personally would. I date whores all the time. My past four relationships have been with promiscuous girls. The sex was GREAT and they would bring their girlfriends along, but that doesn't equate to a girl who you are comfortable with. A girl you can actually share your thoughts with, one who is intelligent enough to get your jokes.
