BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Federal Appeals Court will hear arguments tomorrow on behalf of a man who was fired from Wal-Mart for using medical marijuana.
Joseph Casias said he uses the drug to treat the symptoms of a brain tumor and cancer.
Casias was fired from Wal-Mart's Battle Creek location after testing positive for marijuana despite being legally registered to use it.
The American Civil Liberties Union hopes the court will reinstate the lawsuit which was dismissed by a Federal District judge last year.

this is bigger than Local news man. this is a federal court. it will decide if medical patients can still have normal jobs, basically. and that is important as all hell. people can be on xannax, k-pins, and oxys and be at work driving a hilo around or a truck or whatever, but not marijuana. its fucked.

IT WILL PROBLEY BE SHOT DOWN UNFORTUNATELY... MARY IS STILL ILLEGAL UNDER FEDERAL LAW.. WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THE GUY WIN.. THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE TO LOOK AT THEIR STUPID LAWS..
