Experimentation

Hokay so,
Last week I spent a few days frantically searching the community looking for an answer to my problem. Earlier that week, I found what I perceive to be Cobweb Mold next to my one surviving cake from my first batch. I quickly removed the tinfoil holding the mold and swapped it out with a smaller piece. By this time, the cake had been in the fruiting chamber for a week and a half with no signs of growth. After many recommendations to just toss the cake, I decided to experiment. This is the documentation of that experiment.
Mold next to cake

1. I broke up the cake in smaller chunks and proceeded to store them in the fridge.
 2. I gathered supplies for a mini-casing. a. Extracted CoCa3 from eggshells.

 b. Mixed water, eggshells and verm.
 3. Added casing to cup filled with cake.
 4. Placed in incubator. a. Waited 4 days.
Walah! This picture was taken earlier today, I've now placed it in my FC.

I also just added a 60w 120v bulb about a foot away from my FC because the temp is at like 60. Does that work or should I try something else.

I've just added a small square hole about 9 in x 6 in.
Here's how it looks:

It's been one day since fruiting. No sign of change.

That isn't cobweb, and even if it were, crushed egg shells are not going to anything. IF it had been cobweb mold, hydrogen peroxide would have killed it on contact. RR

Alright, what is it? The eggshells had nothing to do with trying to rid myself of the mold. I used it for a casing... Oh well, too late now.

I'm doing something similar..
I had green mold in my myco-bag, away from my colonization, so I removed the plug of myc and dunked for 24 hours, then mixed 50% coir/50% spawn in a flower pot and have been setting it outside in the daytime, bringing it in at night.
But seeing your pic made me go put foil over it. I have it elevated above a radiator so it doesn't get direct heat, but plenty of warmth.
I'll see what's up in a couple days. Experimenting is what it's all about!

This morning I placed the original cup back into my incubator with tin foil covering the top to let it grow because I've seen little growth in the last two weeks.

I checked this morning after placing the first cup in my incubator yesterday morning. I could see several small pins and many more possibly.

And this is my lonely mushie next to a nasal spray tube.

I've placed my casing tub in my incubator and put foil over the part that isn't taken up by the one mushie. I hope to induce pinning, which has worked for my first cake that's now in a cup.

I collected the spores that stuck to the tin foil by rubbing the plastic against the tin foil, we'll see if they coagulate. Otherwise i'll need to take another sample.

I just finished birthing two cakes that I didn't intend on birthing, they were so ready to come out.

Each cake has at least a dozen pins if not more. The one on the right is the cup from above.

Yesterday I pulled some pores off of the cap I got from my first flush. Today I knocked up a jar with those spores and I placed a 1/4 a cap into another jar.
