SORRY FOR POSTING THIS IN THE SCIENCE SECTION, i feel like a jackass:ripebanana:

i feel like this has been one of the most enjoyable seasons in world soccer since ive been paying attention to it. heres just a few things ive been digging

-can juventus finally win serie a after going down in the calciopoldi scandal? ( is inter not going to make top 4?!)

-man city blowing their chances of winning the league, after blowing shitloads of money on getting the players to do it.

-chelsea struggling, torres sucking. tottenham and newcastle are gunning for top 4, very cool i think, considering the other top teams in that league....

-dortmund on pace to win the bundesliga again. good to see all the young players on that team doing well. i hope they stick together for a while and stick it to bayern. and bayern, itll be great to see them play madrid over two legs for a chance to win the european cup in their home stadium

-my favorite thing to watch this year has been the spanish league. madrid, i mean, they were 17 points ahead of barca at one point, now they only have 4 between them. incredible. im ready to call barcelona the best team ever if they can steal la liga from madrid. also, messi is just...crazy. im glad to be witness to such a rivalry as this, with ronaldo and messi basically head to head in the same league. beautiful.

-euro 2012 in the summer, to top it all off.

(also, on the downside, i think diving/simulating is getting more and more disgusting, especially in spain. how long before the refs refer to instant replays to actually be sure about their job? just add the few seconds on the stoppage time. i mean what the hell are their headsets for anyway? use them for fucks sake!)

Primera needs more parity!
I'm a Betico though, nice to see them back in the 1st league after that asshole Lolo ruined the "franchise".

Cannot wait for Euro! Two Scan teams in, should be fun. Gotta go with Spain though. They just have too much talent. All the fairweathers will be asking "where's Messi?" haha.

I'm also a fan of MLS, it's all we got, lol.
I live near Seattle so I'm a Sounders fan. We've been doing pretty well since coming into the league. Three straight Open Cups.

if this does not make you BREATHE morbo, i feel bad for you

MADRID -- Archrivals Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both set the Spanish league scoring record Saturday in victories.

Ronaldo's record 41st goal was the deciding score as Spanish leader Real Madrid beat Sporting Gijon 3-1. Ronaldo headed home Angel di Maria's short cross in the 74th minute Saturday to surpass his own mark, which the Portugal forward set last season.

Nearly two hours later, Messi's 72nd-minute penalty kick lifted Barcelona to a 2-1 victory at Levante as the three-time defending champions rallied to maintain the four-point difference before next Saturday's "clasico."

Ronaldo's 53rd goal of the season in all competitions, matching his career high.

Miguel de las Cuevas' penalty saw Sporting take a 30th-minute lead, but Gonzalo Higuain headed home his 21st goal seven minutes later.

Substitute Karim Benzema scored his 18th goal in the 82nd, three minutes after Roberto Canella was sent off for a second booking.

Benzema's goal took Madrid's total for the season to 107, matching the mark for most goals in a season set by the Spanish giant in 1989-90.

Messi curled home a 64th-minute equalizer against Levante to close the gap with Ronaldo to one. Then he scored the winner.

Messi's 63 goals in all competitions are the most in European play since Bayern Munich's Gerd Mueller scored 67 during the 1972-73 season.

ive been to a few sounders games. the quality of the mls hurts me.

I loved the MLS only because I grew up playing soccer (my mom is British and a soccer nut), and Columbus where I grew up was the first city to have a soccer-only stadium in the US. So we had the Crew playing there and often had the US national team play there and teams from Premier league would come over

I think if I would have lived any where else I probably wouldnt love the MLS the way I do but the Crew fucking rock!

I'm a Sounders, Arsenal, AC Milan, Real Madrid, and Munich fan.  All of my teams have had their ups and downs this season (especially Milan giving up their hopes of the Scudetto with a weak performance against Inter), but damned if I haven't had my breath taken away by amazing play more times than in any other season.

I was really surprised to see Barca and Madrid both knocked out of the UCL in the semis too!! I don't like Chelsea much but they really stuck it out at Camp Nou with 10 men, it was unbelievable.

Munich had better win the final, I don't think a team has had the opportunity to play in a final at home since Inter did it in the 60's!  And I think Chelsea are missing half a dozen starters through suspensions.  Definitely one to watch..

BUMP

Seriously, where are you FOOTBALL(soccer=football to me, always has been, always will be) enthusiasts??

What do ya think about UCL this year? German final, that's something that you don't see every year. Bayern Munich and Dortmund kicked some Catalunyan&Madridian asses, i really didn't think that would happen, at least with those numbers(7-0 in two matches for BM vs Barca, WTF!!!).

And from England, ahh, ManUtd. Yet another title for the Red Devils, and sadly, the last one for the greatest manager alive.. FERGIE FERGIE WE LOVE YOU LONG TIME!
David Moyes sure has huge shoes to fill, but i bet he's just the man for the job, time will tell.

Come on guys, i know there has to be some soccerists out there!
