 Any Death Metal Fans??

Ive been bored with my music selection... Got into alot of acoustic stuff. Now I feel like getting back to my roots. Ive found a band I think all fans of metal should at least hear. Called Obscura. Perfect song to hear is The Anti cosmic Overload. Im very particular about my metal. Huge fan of Death, Necrophagist, Behemoth, Corpse, Carcass mostly guitar driven bands and this peaks my interests. If someone could help out posting the video for that song Id appreciate it. Im at work and the system is currently blocking me from youtube...

if you like obscura you should check out a band called wretched they're one of the best american hardcore bands out right now IMO.

Ok maybe I should have specified. Technical Death metal. Im liking Wretched. Bolt Thrower is pretty bad ass too. Now that Im home I can post the band I was talking about.

Not sure if it's death metal but Shining is pretty fucking cool, also the 'most depressing' band, Funeral is sick too though i guess thats doom?
Of course Opeth...my favourite.

I love Opeth. Ive seen em 4 or 5 times now. Im not a fan of the newest album at all tho. Not because its softer I really dug Damnation and thats really soft. But this has a different feel to it. Like euro pop or some shit. They need to get their balls back...

Yea the new album isn't too great but it isn't the worst either. Bring back the growls! I miss old opeth!

Opeth is awesome live I saw them twice last year one set was all their new stuff though. Another really good technical death metal band is necrophagost if you d never heard them. The drummer and lead guitarist from necrophagist are both in obscura.

Just realized you already said you were a fan of necrophagist. I'm pretty sure obscura is the reason they haven't released anything since 2004.

also another band outta dallas right now (same group of friends) Tyranosorceress. heavier sort of black metal stuff, but the demo fucking rips, reminds me of early mastodon kinda. they're working on recording a follow up right now.

Nile, the only album I personally like. You may like their newer/better produced stuff judging by the other bands you've listed. But listen to this song all the way through. This album was their creative peak and has awesome compositions come before technical wankery.
Entombed. Ugly and fucking raw the way death metal should be.
Spawn of Possession. If you like the more technical overproduced style of death metal... check this out.

YESSS!! Morbid Angel owns!!! I got to see them with necrphagist, behemoth and krisun. Definitely the most brutal show ive been to yet.
