I saw a shirt the other day that said "Transcend the Illusion"

I don't know what it meant.

Damn, I feel this way too honestly - the inner peace from snorting a line really puts me at ease and lets me be productive. I haven't bought in really long though. I'll take if someone offers me a line once in a while but I know it's better not to be used to the feelings from opiate and instead try to get there sober but on occasion,  the tranquility of opiates I think can help show me a peaceful way of thinking.

"Peaceful way of thinking" is, imo, the perfect way to describe it... Did my last 20mg of hydrocodone tonight.

Don't feel tempted to break the once a week spacing, yet...

I'm so naive in my knowledge of / respect for opiates, at least in comparison to the majority of people that have responded to this thread. I'd prefer to remain this way, and not experience the hell of actual addiction, thus, won't be seeking to acquire anything else opiatish for awhile, after tonight.

Rock on everyone that has fought against & defeated dependence, wish only the best for you

Feeling good, peace out guys

It's lie. Meanwhile if you overinduldge all peace, comfort, and sanity disappears. Life falls apart, and by the time you start to care the drugs lose their effect.

It's still just a manufactured feeling.

It feels wonderful. I doubt many would argue that. Is it worth losing years of your life or alienating those you at least used to love? I would hope not. I'm lucky to have never developed an addiction but it's certainly not something I would roll the dice on. I was lucky, many loved ones weren't. Opiates just aren't worth what they can and probably will do to your life and the ones you love.

Much respect to those in this thread that were able to kick the habit.
