HPV
    #16027064 - 04/01/12 02:03 AM (1 year, 1 month ago)

I've had a couple very small warts for over 4 months...

It started after I slept with an ex-girlfriend. We hadn't been together for a couple of years. I should've used a condom, I told myself I would never raw dog again, but for some reason I just said fuck it.
Anyway, I went on a road trip with her, we slept together once. I had a horrible time and realized she's a dumb bitch. Afterwards my junk seemed extra itchy which made me paranoid.
But nothing came of it until 3 months later when a couple of tiny bumps popped out. They're real small, someone wouldn't be able to see them unless I showed them where they are.

This shit really fucks up your life. Luckily I've had plenty of sex during in my day and don't really want a girlfriend right now anyway. It would be nice to get laid once in while but that's not an option.
I don't want to give it to anyone else.

I can't date anyone; I couldn't stand to be rejected by every girl I date. If met a girl and she had HPV, I wouldn't date her.
So I'm stuck by myself which I'm fine with; having the option of hooking up once in a while would be nice. I'm a really independent person and don't really like having a girlfriend. That might change at some point though.

I guess it usually clears within a couple of years, but what if it doesn't? It's a super depressing situation to be in. Thanks for reading, I just had to vent a little bit.

That sucks.

It's very noble of you to keep your junk quarantined.  It hope that it clears up soon.

I've seen HPV+ people post on Craigslist looking for romance/action.  Hell, they're probably the best catches on all of Craigslist, seeing as why they're there.

Best luck.

Thanks,

The thing about it is you can't really date other people with HPV since there's so many different strains, you'll just end up with all kinds of different warts.

"Bumps" are completely normal.  Are you sure it's warts?  I have a friend with hpv of the warts varietal and he says they are much more noticeable than bumps.

lol youre overreacting OP. 80% of the population has hpv, most dont know it. I was told I have HPV and was treated for it, supposed to clear up after a few years anyways, and I think mine has, I cant tell what are bumps or hair follicles, i dont even care honestly.

but every girl ive hooked up since with I told and it didnt matter to them. shit i have a gf right now. hpv has done nothing to hinder my sex life.

also, condoms are almost useless protection against hpv. so think about this: if 70-80% of the population has HPV.. you sleep with one person what are your chances of getting it? now 2 people, 3, 4, and 5... by the time youve slept with 8 people, you have like a 99% chance of having it already. dont trip dude, youre just pisst cause you know for sure you have something that everyone else already probably has and doesnt know.

You know you can get penile cancer from HPV...

It's also the leading cause of cervical cancer.

Do you have links for this 80%

Pretty much what this guy said. Im also not convinced a few "bumps" on your cock are a sign of HPV.

Ask a doctor

Yeah, unfortunately I have one of the few types that produce symptoms.

What's it like telling women that you have hpv? When do you do it?
Do you always tell women before you sleep with them?

Re: HPV [Re: Anonymous #1]

Allow me to tell you a story. Im a severe hypocondriac. Growing up I never really INSPECTED my cock with a fine tooth comb or anything, but once I was 16 and first had sex......I got paranoid and started over analyzing my cock. I noticed a slight patch of bumps, extreamly small and went to the free clinic to ask.

The doctor (who specializes in STDS's), wasnt too sure they were genital warts and just thought it was the way my cock was. I went on my way, but as a hypocondriac I continued to obsess about them. So next I asked my family practitioner what he thought. he said, well it looks like HPV :strokebeard: and took a liquid nitrogen blow torch to my cock  In pain I walked home, the area scabbed over, and once the scab fell off the little bumps were still there.

So I went to a dermatoligist and asked what he thought, He :strokebeard: and said...."It might be HPV". So he went, got the blow torch, but this time brought in two really hot female interns to watch as he cinged my cock again with liquid nitrogen

8 years later, I still have the little bumps, they havnt changed in size, I only notice some new ones near the spot  Ive asked my current doctor today if he thinks its HPV. He could barley see the bumps and was confused what I was talking about. But once he spotted them, he told me it doesnt look like HPV to him (keep in mind this guy used to work with Aids patients in Africa and shit).

To this day im unsure if I have HPV. Im willing to guess I do seeing how I have had like 5 or 6 partners. But if I have the kind that causes genital warts.....who knows.

When I was first starting to get involved with my fiance I told her flat out.....there MAY be a chance I have HPV. She was a virgin at the time, and still had sex with me :smirk:

Lots of people have HPV. Its such a common occurrence that they tried to develop a vaccine against the types that cause cancer. Ever get a wart on your skin? HPV down on your cock or genital area is more or less the same type of viral infection that causes a wart on you elbow or knee

Ill tell you what. The next time you have sex with a chick who gets freaked out if you have HPV (assuming she has slept with other people), ask to see the results of her PAP smear :stonedjerk: At WORST you may have HPV, but trust me your sex life will go on. People with fucking genital herpes find other partners with uninfected people even if they tell them! The human sex drive is too powerful to limit our sexual experiances to a bubble boy status.

:goodluck:

there was one girl who i told after we were together, it was pretty soon after i found out and wasnt sure how to approach it. but I told her, and she was like, 'well, i almost certainly had it anyways... so whatever..'

then there were a couple i told before we had sex, and they didnt care either. my mentality going into it when i decided to let the person know ahead of time was, fuckit, if i get turned down i really dont care that much anyways. theres a milllion girls out there, and for every 1 that will turn me down theres probably 10 that either dont give a shit, have it already, know the facts about it, or got the shot.

its not hard. dude just stay positive. HPV positive

It is really not a big deal...You can treat the warts yourself if you want to avoid a doctor...Obviously, you keep the virus...consider that a gift.

I've used Apple Cider Vinegar very successfully to get rid of warts on my penis...Just tape a cotton ball soaked in it on the wart...leave it there for a day or so...take it off...wait a week and the wart falls off...larger ones may take a couple of applications as only the top few layers fall off..

Wait at least a week or two between treatments, however...because it does make your dick skin raw...

You can try this even if you aren't sure they're warts...If they're not, it won't hurt you anymore than a bit of raw skin...If they are warts, they will turn white, then grey, then black before they fall off.

My girlfriend just recently found out she has HPV, which means that I do now too. She hasn't really had any symptoms that usually result from HPV, but the doctor just called her back today and said there's definately cancerous cells in there.

I'm very worried for her.

Thanks for the support guys, it definitely made me feel better about the whole thing.

I still don't want to treat HPV too casually though. My case is really minor, however, I've seen pictures of outbreaks which look horrible. I would hate to have a strain which totally deforms my genitals.  :goat:
