And mushroom hunting/study is more common in australia than just limited to active species.

Confirmation on subs? no spore print done yet but blue bruising evident. thanks. cap colour is caramel.

You could even say going that it's a requirement of a science course you're doing at uni. If you're real sketchy you could even bring a fake report with questions about mushrooms that you need to answer haha  No one ever questions you if you say you're doing it for science

getting very jealous of everyones finds that they've posted, my question is has many people had luck in the inner western suburbs? more specifically footscray area? ive had a look at a couple places that i was quite confident would give me something but no dice as of yet

ive had trouble until recently when ive started seeing subs everywhere. i'm also from the west and its all about finding your first patch. from then on you'll realise that it's all about vibing out an area and you'll find some for sure

The most important thing is not to give people a reason to find you suspicious. i.e. if you're in a park, don't loiter around where children are playing. Don't hang around near houses so they think you're casing the joint. Those are the main two things.

Hey fellow hunters had a quick pick this afternoon only had twenty minutes till dark the scissors were goin as fast as they can go . Well this flush looks to be big so many pins so hard to get in and pick. Will posts pics soon usual haul couple of kilos back to work much more drying to set up. Good luck all there out there

did a spore print overnight/today and they've dried a bit, blueing is much more obvious, and the spore print looks right. kicking myself that i've left KILOGRAMS there (most likely rotten/will be by the time i can get there), but i guess better safe than sorry :\

Yeah man definitely look like subs, I've been finding heaps like that lately after all the rain last week. Anyway don't stress, I'm sure there will be plenty new ones in their place soon enough.

Ok, so. I found these guys on my way home from uni. An ID would be great. No spore print yet, and you can probably see from the photo the area I found them in(if you can't it was a wet and mulchy part of a park under a big tree.)
